Oceanfront Vacation Rental with Magnificent View

Thank you very much for the wonderful stay that we had at this condo. We spent three weeks here with our family and absolutely loved it. The location is safe and the views of The ocean are breathtaking! Highly recommended!

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at this lovely condo in Dorado! The owners were so very helpful; in correspondence, in availability, and in many other ways! The pictures depict the property well! The views are stunning! During our stay, we had two families including four "tweens" and one baby. We loved this property for many different reasons; it was located in a community, it was gated and secure, it had all the space we needed plus FOUR full baths! Also, the kids loved the pool and the large grassy areas where they played soccer, frisbee and volleyball. The ocean was steps from the condo, and the beach afforded a lagoon area where we could snorkel out to coral with beautiful fish! We liked being in Dorado; because it is centrally located between the west coast and the east coast of the island, we could enjoy visiting different beaches during our three and a half week stay. Also, there were grocery stores, pharmacies and fast food restaurants close by that were open 24 hours in Dorado. I would highly recommend this property to families! I came to feel like it was a home away from homes!

We had a great vacation at Jorge's townhouse! This unit had everything we needed and is located in a great location in Dorado. The local people surrounding us and in the development were very friendly. We had access to the beach at the Embassy Suits, which was nearby, as well as the pool. The Dorado Beach is a 5 min drive, another beach where it is nicer to swim and has less rocks. Everything at the townhouse was clean and inviting and had great views. Very relaxing! Dorado has some great restaurants with all the local flair. We didn't have a bad meal while there. We liked The Green House and El Ladrillo. Katrina was also a good place within walking distance with the best mojitos! We also had lunch at the Embassy Pool Bar, also very good. We were glad we chose Dorado as our vacation location. It was 1/2 hour from the San Juan airport. We also went to a really nice mall to shop- huge- Plaza Las Americas- worth going to and only 15/20 min away. There is a large grocery store plus CVS and Wal-Greens also a 5 min drive. Old San Juan is a must do! (30 min drive) We couldn't have asked for anything better, honestly! The townhouse was a great price for what you get. Having 4 separate bathrooms and 3 floors, also a perk. There is a DVD player and a nice TV there also with many channel options. The 4 of us would highly recommend this location. We felt safe and comfortable. Jorge was great and after meeting him, we felt like we were part of his family. Everything was low key and worked out exactly as planned. You can't go wrong with this rental property! Thanks again Jorge! :)

Just steps from the beach!

My family and I stayed at this oceanfront rental in February of 2014. Jorge and is wife were very accommodating. These villas are right on the beach in Dorado, and we were able to walk to restaurants every evening. My husband and I went running each morning on the Rockefeller trail through the gorgeous Dorado Beach Resort. When we came back to our villa, we sat on the patio or 3rd floor balcony and drank Puerto Rican coffee while we listened to the waves. Our kids, ages 12, 10 and 6, loved playing at the pool. Jorge's wife bought us a basketball, and our boys played on the court right outside our door. They also borrowed us snorkels, life jackets, and beach toys. We toured the entire north side of the island, and we made visits to the caves and to the town of Isabela where we snorkled and watched the kite surfers. Overall, this was a wonderful family vacation and a great getaway from the cold, long Midwest winter! The rental rate is very reasonable for this spacious 3-level property directly on the beach. You will not find a better deal. We will definitely be back.

PR Winter Getaway

This was the most relaxing vacation our family has ever taken. The location of this condo is great. Everything was within reach (beach, pool, grocery store and places to eat). We had a great view of the ocean. The property owners are nice and very helpful. The property is nicely decorated and very well maintained. Our family highly recommends this rental.

Paradise in Puerto Rico

Just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had in Dorado in this beachfront villa. This rental was perfect for our family- we travelled with three young children and my parents- and the villa was simply perfect. Very comfortable and decorated in very fine taste. The pool was recently renovated and the kids had a great time. The unit was centrally located and had all needed amenities within a short drive. It also served as a good location to explore the island. The Rodriguez family was very attentive to our needs and a joy to work with. We really enjoyed eating at a beachfront restaurant named Katrina- the food was spectacular and reasonably priced. With young kids- it was a blessing to have a washer and dryer available. We are making plans to return at a later date with my sister and her family! Missing paradise in Dorado!

The Perfect Base Camp

We were so very pleased with our stay! It was the perfect vacation spot for our family of 6. The condo is spacious with plenty of beds and beautiful decor. We felt very safe in the gated complex with a security guard constantly making rounds, so our children could run around and play on the well-groomed grounds and playground. Best of all is the beach, only steps away outside the gate. When we weren't swimming and beach combing, we loved to watch the waves from the condo's balcony or back patio. During our stay, the complex's swimming pool was being remodeled, but our condo owners made the extra effort to get us swimming passes to a nearby hotel swimming pool. The owners were the perfect hosts, gracious and accommodating. We highly recommend their property.

Wonderful stay in Dorado

We stayed in Dorado for 10 days in April 2013, and visted many places on the island. This townhouse served as an excellent base of operations for my wife and I, and our four kids (boys 8 and 10, and girls 12 and 14) for our first trip to Puerto Rico. The unit is a three story townhouse that is more spacious that it appears in the pictures, and both the unit itself and the villa grounds are well maintained. The entryway has a lockable closet containing the washer and dryer, beach chairs, toys, etc. The first floor has a full bath, a kitchen with an island and stools, the dining area, a living area, and a large patio that opens up onto a wide lawn and the ocean. The second floor has two bedrooms, one with three twin beds (a bunk bed with a trundle underneath, and a second with two twin beds that can be combined into a larged bed. Each bedroom has a full bathroom attached. The second bedroom also has a view of the ocean. The third floor has the master bedroom with a king bed, sitting area, full bathroom, and large, lovely patio with a commanding view of the ocean. CONS: I can think of only two: 1) The unit has no dishwasher - not a problem for us, but be aware if you are expecting one. 2) The villa pool was closed when we were there, and is expected to be closed until mid-June 2013, I think. Not an issue when it's easy enough to use the much larger pool at the Embassy Suites next door. PROS: 1) The owners, Jorge and Cristy, are just wonderful - very helpful with advice and suggestions. They own the adjacent unit as well, and are there most weekends - never intruding, but available if needed. 2) The size of the unit worked very well for us - each bedroom having an attached bathroom was very helpful. 3) The location: Farjardo is about 75 minutes away (assuming no rush hour); Rio Camuy and Arecibo are about an hour. The AcuaExpreso ferry to Old San Juan in Catano is about 25 minutes. Supermarket is right down the road, and Walmart is 15 minutes away 4) The community is gated and security patrols regularly - we felt very safe there. 5) Well-stocked kitchen, and a gas grill on the patio - we saved some money by not eating out for every meal (but try mofongo at the local restaurants!) 6) reserved parking space close to the unit - very convenient. 7) The view - the unit looks out towards the west, and we got some great sunset pictures over the ocean.

Excellent choice!

I have rented many VRBO properties. This, however, was the first time I stayed in a property with not one, two, or three, but – count them! – four restrooms and showers. Very convenient if you are traveling with a larger group! The unit is spread over three stories, with commanding ocean views from the third floor balcony. It has an assigned parking space inside the gated complex. There is a security guard on duty 24 hours a day, and the complex is quiet and safe; containing mostly families. This unit is located directly on the beachfront. The hosts stay in the adjacent unit every weekend. They are gracious, responsive and helpful. They returned our bond immediately upon our departure. There are two beaches within walking distance. The public beach, with its lively crowd and the ubiquitous kiosks is to the left, and the more exclusive Embassy Suites beach is immediately to the right. Guests of the unit may use the Embassy Suites beach, pool, and casino at no extra cost. The unit is fully equipped with every essential creature comfort, except for a phone and a dishwasher. WiFi is free and signal strength is reasonable throughout most of the unit. Each one of the three bedrooms, as well as the living room, is individually and powerfully air conditioned. Now, in regards to surfing: There is an outer reef just in front of the complex. It’s a bit of a paddle to get to it, but the die-hard surfer will be rewarded with several peaks, perfect lefts and rights, and minimal to no crowds. Also, most of the paddling is done through a channel, so chances to rest every now and then are a much-welcomed possibility. Most of the surfers who are out there get there by boat (wimps!). The spot starts working at two feet, and comfortably holds up to about six feet. Beyond eight feet it starts closing out. Early morning is the best time, before the onshore trade winds start picking up and turn eager surfers into little sailboats. Although the little waves in the nearby lagoon appear welcoming, the area is what we have affectionately nicknamed “Urchinville”, and is far too shallow for surfboard fins. Overall, this unit is an excellent choice for families, or groups of 3-7 people. Providing your own transportation is highly recommended. For those who want to combine the true charm of Puerto Rico with the modern comforts of home, this unit is a perfect choice. This unit allows for opportunities to be active tourists, but also to chill and kick back at the end of

Paradise and Home in One

We recently rented this villa. Let me first start off by saying the owners; Jorge and Kristy are wonderful. The villa is beautiful. The kitchen has been recently redone since the pictures online. The place is very spacious and clean. The views are amazing from the back since it facing the ocean. There is also a lot of area in the back for kids to play safely. The pool is just around the corner. There is a security guard walking the grounds 24 hrs so you feel really safe however the community is really nice and quiet. Dorado is also a really nice town. There are alot of stores and restaurants right outside of the villa community. You are also close to major highways going to San Juan or out west towards Arecibo. We had such a wonderful time that we are looking forward to returning next year. My children felt like they were right at home yet still in paradise.
