Our beautiful, architecturally-designed home offers incredible views in all directions with breezes to match. Wake up in the glorious morning to unobstructed views of the Reserve and the island of Culebra, and even St. John and St. Croix on a clear day, or have a cocktail on the front balcony while you watch the lights of Vieques and main-island Puerto Rico twinkle in the distance. The countryside location is in the center of the island so you can be just about anywhere in 5-20 minutes — from the island's best beaches to restaurants and shopping. Our Viequense neighbors are friendly and respond in kind to a smile and a wave. Friendly dogs, wandering chickens and free-roaming horses are all a part of day-to-day life in Monte Carmelo, so if an insulated resort-like experience is what you're looking for, then our house is not for you. But if you are looking to experience real-life Vieques in the comfort of a safe and stylish house, then we have no doubt you will love it here. Our Amazing Anniversary Home
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 3:00. Aurelio was at the airport to pick us up. He took us to get groceries as the car rental company closed at 1:00. Next time we'll arrange the jeep in advance through Aurelio! He was great to pick us up Monday morning though to get the jeep. We enjoyed a lovely dinner Sunday night on the barbecue! We loved the patio and the pool! The outdoor shower was amazing as well. We took off exploring beaches Monday morning and loved the beach chairs that were provided. The house lacked for nothing! We loved how private we felt. We especially loved that the only noise was from animals not people. Although the peacock was a bit annoying! We were in an excellent location. We dove 3 days with Blackbeards so we loved how close we were to Isabella, yet Esperanza was also close. Loved the view of the south beach and loved the beaches in the reserve. We also loved our tour of the Bio Bay. We couldn't have asked for a more amazing place to celebrate our 25th anniversary! Thank you Lisa for sharing your home!
