Description

Welcome to our ranch style home in SE Portland just South of Mt. Tabor on a quiet, tree-lined street with plenty of parking.

Recent testimonial: 'We spent a wonderful weekend at this house. The place is very clean. There were 4 of us staying at this place and we had everything we needed. There were plenty of parking space and the neighborhood is very safe. But we didn't need the car that much as the bus service is awesome in Portland and we were able to get to downtown and back late at night.' Mikhail K

Three large bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom with a porcelain tub and shower accommodates 6 people in 3 beds.

All 3 bedrooms have a queen size pillow-top mattress, high thread count sheets and a luxurious comforter, plus an extra blanket. The spacious room measures 12' x 15' with a large closet. There is also a desk and office chair, a small reading library and handheld percussion massager (also available for purchase) in each bedroom.

The house has high speed (30mbps) internet/wifi.

There is a full service kitchen with all the amenities, including microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, blender, and juicer. Condiments like salt, pepper, oil and vinegar are always available.

There is a dining room area with an oak wood table set for 8. There is a larger-than-life size Buddha statue from a temple in Cambodia in the corner, brought over from a retreat center the owner founded many years ago in Portland.

The living room has 2 sofas and a plasma HDTV with cable, including HBO and On Demand. There is also a DVD player and a fire stick to watch Netflix, Amazon, etc.

There is a patio that is a wonderful place to sit and hang out, and a large backyard with a National Heritage Sequoia Tree, a pear tree, and a gingko tree.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a mandatory damage waiver fee that is $49.50 and protects you for up to $2500 in damages.

There is a daylight basement on the premises, which the owner lives in when in town.

There is one cat on the premises, but he lives outdoors or in the carport. There is also an operating business in the carport, where 2 people work from about 9:30am to 3pm Monday thru Friday. They have their own entrance and exit. A single tenant lives in the ADU towards the back of the property with access on the side yard of the house.

The washer and dryer are in the downstairs section of the house. You are free to use them;. The first load is free, then it's $10 a load, and that includes the detergent. You may have to speak with John (owner) and give notice to get access to the downstairs.

I've been enjoyed renting this property for years now. I can help orient you to the city and the best places to visit while you are here.

In the living room there's a whole basket full of maps and coupons and reviews of places to visit and see around Portland and the rest of the state. It's an easy drive from the house to the beach, Mt. Hood, or the Columbia Gorge.

Here are some testimonials from folks who have been here recently:

'John was the consummate host! He welcomed us with a bottle of wine, a piece of chocolate (dark!) and bottle of water on every bed. He was very easy to get in touch with about any questions. Parking is very easy in the neighborhood. The house is near a lively and dynamic part of town with incredible restaurants and vintage shopping. I would definitely recommend staying here'. Ali S.

Extremely beautiful. Very charming and relaxing.

The property was very great. Our host was great and couldn’t be nicer. He recommended excellent places to eat. I would gladly stay here again.

Nice - comfortable and quiet

My husband and I, as well as my brother stayed at the house while visiting my brother's daughter in Portland. The house was comfortable and well-equipped and became a nice retreat after the busyness of the city. As animal lovers, we enjoyed visits by Bear and Jasmin, the resident cats. Thanks, John for a pleasant, relaxing place to stay.

Perfect from location to the hand soap provided

Shared this home my family from Vermont and this was a perfect place to spend time at Thanksgiving together! Quiet clean comfortable with EVER amentity you need ....even a yoga mat! Close to everything in Portland with the great public trans ! Close to bars and restaurants with a gourmet Seasons Market close by! Bella offers a perfect place and I would not consider any other place !!

Very comfortable House and great location

We enjoyed our stay. The owner takes good care of the house and it was very clean, dry and warm. Each room was set up for our arrival (nice touches like guest towels on all beds) with travel information on the coffee table and a pile of toys for kids. The deck looked inviting though we did not use it due to the rainstorms. It is close to parks and has easy access to other neighborhoods of Portland. Although there was no house information binder, the owner was easily accessible by telephone and email. I highly recommend this house as a very comfortable place to stay while visiting Portland. A

Relaxing Getaway

Host provided excellent personal attention to my family's needs. We loved the homey atmosphere and close access to downtown, zoo, and OMSI. The neighborhood is quiet and the backyard is lovely. My children especially enjoyed provided board games, books, and HDTV with sound system.

Beautiful spot

This place is exceptionally clean, comfortable and interesting. There is a pleasant deck and backyard. Six of us (3 couples) stayed in the upstairs section without feeling crowded. I recommend this place highly. One note - there are are a couple of cats that apparently come with the house that wander through now and then. They were no problem and are mentioned in the description, but don't take this house if this would bother you.

Fantastic location

The place was clean, comfortable, and a short bus ride (or good walk) from all the shops, restaurants, and bars on Division and Hawthorne. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a great tour of the place. The only downside was the hot tub was out of order... I would definitely stay here again!

SE home

Very pleasant stay in SE neighborhood. Beds very comfortable and we had everything we needed to have enjoyable visit with our daughter who moved to area this year.
