The Best Place to be in the Heart of Oaxaca Downtown
I stayed in Oaxaca for 2 weeks. Luckily, I found this marvelous home in the Heart of Oaxaca. It is convenient to everything. I can walk to the Central Park (El Lazaro) in 15 minutes, to the Churches, Museum, Coffee shops, restaurants, Park, Botanic Garden, point look out, anything within a 20 minutes radius. In the morning, I walked to the REAL outdoor market to eat breakfast cook on spot, buy fresh fruit, etc. Gene is an excellent host, he responses to my requests right away. The house is huge, clean and cozy. Internet is great. One little issue for people who wake up late since we are on the main street so you can start hearing the noise of the bus at 6am in the morning. No problem with me, I wake up at 5! Thank you Gene, I had a great stay.

Location and comfort.
My wife and I stayed twelve days at Casa Crespo. We found the house was very clean; each bedroom has air conditioning. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The Mr. Coffee machine was appreciated. We only had breakfast at the house as there are many good restaurants within walking distance. The Zocalo (city centre) was only a ten minute walk and if you want you could hail a cab right outside the front door. The high speed WiFi was as advertised. There is also a wonderful small Mercado two blocks away that has everything you would need. As mentioned by many before, there is a noise issue. Calle Crespo is a main thorough fare (right out front), so the two front bedrooms are subject to the road noise. There are three bathrooms with a shower each. Only one had enough water pressure (calcium build up). Note, the showers are small and a "plus size" person could have issues getting in and out. Overall we were very happy at Casa Crespo.
