Peaceful, tranquil and charming, you will never forget your time spent at Quartz Mountain Ranch.

Our American flag is usually at the front of the back deck next to the moose bell or behind the door of the pantry. Please feel free to set it up on the stand on the south side of the deck during the daylight hours but only when it is not windy. Thanks!

Stellar blue jays, nuthatches, finches and robins frequent the home except in the coldest wintertime. Birdseed is sometimes provided or can be purchased to set on the deck railings for them to eat while you can watch them for the comfort inside the lodge.

Hummingbirds love the area in the summertime. Hummingbirds with their high-pitched whine, frequent the property. They love to sit on the dead limbs of the huge Douglas Fir just west of the deck. Hummingbirds also love to dive bomb for insects in the area. 'Hummers' as they are affectionately called are usually in the Colorado mountains from around April-May to September 15. Here is the recipe for making hummingbird nectar and replace it often to keep them coming back, of which they can get very protective:

- Mix 4 parts water to 1 part table sugar in a pan. For example, use 1 cup sugar to 4 cups water.

- Bring to a boil then remove from the heat.

- Cover and allow to cool before using or pouring into the storage bottle.

Deck lights are programmed to stay on all night.

We have a 3 night minimum but if there are less nights available between stays you can inquire about them.

Breathtaking views both day and night. Nature at your doorstep.

Property is close to so many activities and places to really enjoy the Colorado majestic mountainsides. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rex provided all the details necessary to enable us to spend each moment “in the moment “.

Wonderful views, Plenty to do!

The house was fantastic, there are some great views of the mountains. Easy to get to from Denver. The house is well equipped with plenty of things to do for everyone. We went skiing close by, enjoyed walking the grounds around the house, and using the fire pit and hot tub at night. Would definitely return for my next trip to Colorado.

Incredible home and views!

We walked in and were speechless. It was absolutely gorgeous.
