The Dolphin Pool + Beach Home, (one unit in our Nokomis duplex) located a couple blocks from the coveted Nokomis Beach on Casey Key, includes a large 30x15 foot pool which gently slopes from 3 to 6.5 feet deep, along with a spacious covered lanai. You will find many comfortable seats poolside. An easy 6 minute drive from I-75, our Beach Home is a short walk from the popular white sands of Nokomis Beach (and Pelican Alley and Pops Waterside Grill), a few minutes from Venice Island, Venice Beach, Blackburn Point, Spanish Point, Oscar Scherer State Park, 180 Mbps high speed Internet, and the frequent shark teeth found at Casperson Beach! Enjoy walks on the beautiful white sand beaches of Casey Key while looking for shells and shark teeth. Boating, jet skis, kayaking and fishing are also available at the nearby marina. Golf, tennis, local restaurants, and shopping are only minutes away and just a short drive north is Sarasota, Florida where you can find music, theater, galleries, and more shopping.
The home includes an open layout with living room, newly renovated kitchen with quartz breakfast bar and countertops, a separate dining room, 3 large bedrooms with 7 beds and windows looking out to the covered pool and lanai. Outside you will find a net for a Pickleball or Badminton court as well as corn hole and a golf toss game. Many beach toys are available for your use along with a kayak, a paddleboard, many chairs, and kids’ toys (sand buckets, shovels, and life preservers).
Featuring a spacious floor plan, this beautiful coastal home near the Gulf of Mexico has been decorated to reflect the casual elegance of the area around the beach at Casey Key but without the high prices. Fishing, Sailing, Snorkeling, Shelling, Jet Skis - everything is at your fingertips. The cottage includes everything you need to make this your home at the beach.
Dine outdoors next to the pool on the lanai while the kids play in the large open area. Or enjoy the nice sunny dining room with western exposure to enjoy the sunset at dinner time. We also have a playpen and booster seat if needed.
Just bring your swim suit for the beach or pool and move right in for your short or long-term vacation enjoyment. Your vacation includes an outdoor grill, fire pot, bicycles, washer/dryer, parking. At the beach, you’ll find new pavilions, clean restrooms and showers, lifeguard monitored, great hunting for shells and shark's teeth, watch the dolphins play, breathtaking sunsets, surf fishing and enjoy our great drum circle every Wednesday and Sunday.

The Dolphin Beach Home has a mirror image duplex home that is called the Sea Turtle Pool & Beach Home (VRBO #1021417). You may be interested in this also for multi-family gatherings. The Sea Turtle and Dolphin homes are both beautiful with similar functionality and layouts. Most of the beds, furniture, TVs, Internet and appliances and are exactly the same for both the Sea Turtle and Dolphin. The Sea Turtle Beach Home is on the north side of the property so during the winter (November to March) it is a little more shaded while the Dolphin Beach Home is on the south side of the property that gets a little more sun and natural light coming in. Due to the position of the pool and lanai with the home and the driveway, the Sea Turtle has two bedrooms with direct views onto the lanai and pool while the Dolphin has one bedroom (master with king bed) with direct views onto the lanai and pool area while the other bedroom (guest/kids bedroom) looks out to the green garden area and driveway pickleball court. Otherwise, there are no substantial differences. The Pool, Pickleball Court / Badminton Court, and area to play Cornhole or Golf Ball Toss Game are the only shared areas. There are separate pool lanai seating areas and tables for each Beach Home, separate Grills, separate Fire pots, and nothing else is shared.

We had a great time!
The home was clean and enough space for everyone. We enjoyed the pool a lot during our stay. Its close to everything including shopping for groceries and restaurants. I would come back again. Rex was very easy to work with. Anytime we had a question he was available to help us. Thank you Rex!

We loved our stay at Dolphin house. We missed the fact that it is a duplex, so just know it is a duplex and pool and lanai is shared. The pool was wonderful, heated, large, pristine. Quick walk to the beach. Great sand toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, beach wagons etc . Having all the gear made our stay especially fun and easy. Well outfitted house with very nice towels, sheets, , even soap, paper products, and some spices provided. Would definitely go back. Also Rex was an amazing landlord, interested, flexible, and considerate of our schedule needs. Thanks Rex!
