Description

Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Sleeping Porch, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)
Aloha and welcome to Hotel Pa'amalu the only one room hotel in Kealakekua Hawaii. Hotel Pa'amalu is a blend of Polynesia, Indonesia and amnesia. Come swim in our warm tropical waters or explore the enchanting tropical rain forests atop Kilauea, possibly the most active volcano on the plant. Plan your day while lounging on the lanai, comforted by the warm gentle trade wind breezes.

You will begin your day 5 minutes from historical Kealakekua Bay, on the leeward slopes of Mauna Loa on the island of Hawaii. The weather is warm, sunny and mild all year long, yes all year long.

Hotel Pa'amalu is not really a hotel, I just thought that was a catchy name. My dad, friends and I built this little house a few years back. I would, how ever, describe it as a small story book cottage, welcoming you to write your own chapter. We are settled just up slope from an old Hawaiian fishing village known as Keei. We are surrounded by many different varieties of mangos bananas and other horticultural surprises.

Hotel Pa'amalu is a fun, retreat, romantic get away, or a brief interlude as you travel through out our beautiful islands.

Thanks so much for visiting, hope to hear from you soon.

 Aloha......

Oh, if you come during mango season you may never leave the lanai!

Serene , beautiful ,

Perfect place to stay. Charles the owner is warm, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are full of mango trees, orchids, and lots more. This one is keeper!!!

Comfortable cottage

A secluded base from which to explore the Big Island, away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet close enough to get to everything in a 10-day period! A quick stop at the grocery store and then everything you need is here, from the facilities to the ambiance of the orchard with myriad birds, other wildlife and maybe some family pets visiting! We spent limited daylight time during our stay but always a favorite past time was sitting on the lanai watching the birds in the fountain, either early morning or late in the day. SO restful, relaxing and beautiful! The Cope family has a little jewel here and are most wonderful as hosts.

A tranquil and priva

We had a wonderful stay at Charles’ cottage. The place is immaculately clean and well appointed. The location is quiet and peaceful but convenient to lots of great snorkeling sites and beaches. Charles was a great host and gave us some of the best mangoes we’ve ever eaten. We were truly sad to leave and hope to get back soon.
