Are you looking forward to a relaxing retreat in the Great Smoky Cabins? Look no further than Golden Valley Retreat cabin in Townsend, TN. This two bedroom with a loft/two full bathroom cabin is just the right size for your family or even multi family vacation.

Walk in to this open concept cabin with cathedral ceiling, open beams and beautiful photography where you can feel the peacefulness of the mountains.Golden Valley Retreat feels like home! The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you need to cook your family a home cooked meal, a family celebration or a country breakfast. With seating for 6, family dining is a snap accommodating every guest.

The cabin has plenty of space if you choose to hang out for a day, there is plenty of room to roam with short walking trails. The spacious living area, game room, outdoor fire pit and hot tub make it easy to 'stay home' and still feel "entertained".

If you like a 'busy' vacation every day filled with different attractions or if you prefer to 'chill out' and relax in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains this is your place.

Family room downstairs - Queen size sofa sleeper

Just outside the entrance to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 30 minutes to Pigeon Forge, 40 minutes to Gatlinburg.

 IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

NO PETS ALLOWED OF ANY KIND, IN THIS CABIN.Check-In:

*3pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin

Check-Out:

*10am - Please follow our check out guidelines.

Common Concerns:

*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather.

*TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.

*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors.

This cabin was perfect for our family getaway.

This cabin was perfect for our family getaway. The downstairs was fun with the pool table and theater area. We loved how close to town it was but still felt like a little cabin in the woods!

We greatly enjoyed our stay.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and homey, perfect to relax in after many hikes and adventures. The cabin is close to Lamar Alexander Pkwy, with easy access to groceries, gas station, the Nat'l Park, Cades Cove, Tuckaleechee Caverns, etc. We traveled as a family of 6: 1 grandparent, 2 parents, a three children ages 6, 4, and 16 months. FYI for those with babies or toddlers, there is a door between the main floor and the basement stairs but the stairs between the main floor and the loft are accessible. We brought a play yard gate to block the stairs to the loft. Be aware, that the gravel driveway is quite steep, so an SUV might work better than a minivan for making the ascent (we were able to get most of the way up)! We enjoyed the comfortable bedrooms, the entertainment room/movie room, the hot tub, and most of all, sitting on the 2nd story porch in the evenings! We also enjoyed s/'mores around the fire pit.

This Cabin was Amazing!

This Cabin was Amazing! It was exactly what we wanted and more! All new appliances and nice cooking ware to use. The space was large and spacious had plenty of things to do at the cabin! We loved it! Hope to come again! We also got to see a bear trying to get into the garbage bin! Very cool!!

We had a great time here. Cabin was awesome, comfortable and quiet. Saw plenty of wildlife while we were here. We had plenty to keep adults and kids busy. We really enjoyed the area. We were here to geocache and vacation. Close to all the big attractions, Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge. Great food and ambience at Dancin Bear, Apple Valleyand Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. Looking forward to another stay here.
