FOR OUR PET FRIENDLY VISITORS:

PETS MUST BE APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO RESERVATION. We reserve the right to refuse any pet at any time. We would like for you and your family (including the four legged members) to have the best vacation ever and appreciate your willingness to abide by these guidelines.

*We only accept dogs, no cats allowed. We only accept 2 pets per reservation.

*We charge a $70.00 per stay per pet fee which is not refundable.

*Your dog must be on a flea maintenance program. (Like Frontline, Advantage, etc.)

*Your dog must be crated while left in the cabin alone.

*Your dog must not get on our furniture. If we find pet hair on our furniture upon your departure, you will be charged $10.00 per each quilt/comforter/sofa that must be cleaned to remove dog hair.

*If your dog damages our vacation home in any way, ie, urine on the carpet/floor, chewed furniture/walls/doors or molding, you will be held responsible for the damage repair costs.

*Your dog must be leashed when on the outside of the cabin. This is for the safety of your dog as there may be other animals in the area that could harm your beloved pet.

We've worked hard to provide a wonderful cabin at a great price for our guests to enjoy. Cleanliness is a priority with us so you'll always find the cabin very clean upon arrival.

IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

*3pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin

Check-Out:

*10am - Please follow our check out guidelines.

Common Concerns:

*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather.

*TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.

*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors.

Nice cozy cabin with everything we needed. Saw mama bear and 3 cubs just down road. Loved our visit. Only drawback lack of quality full service restaurants in Townsend. I don't cook on vacation. This certainly not rental's fault but probably won't return because of this.

We love Bear's Den for its great location, comfortable seating (LOL!), overall layout and how it is supplied for food preparation. The hosts are so accommodating! A big storm knocked out power for most of a day and Internet was not going to be back for several more days. Obviously that was not our hosts' fault, but Cathy actually relocated us once it became clear the Internet at Bear's Den would not be right back on, which I needed for work. We are so appreciative and since we come to the Smokies often and it's so valuable to know you have a host who is going to go out of their way for you, we will be looking to rent places for them in the future.

Only one thing could make it better.

Only one thing could make it better. A different shower head. It splatters water everywhere and pins you against the wall if you want to stand under it. Needs to be replaced.

We loved it! Great location! Privacy in nature but close to GSMNP, pigeon forge, gatlinburg, and other towns of interest! The cabin was lovely. Comfortable, like home! Great decor and all the amenities we needed. We would define stay again, however, bringing our dog was am exception this time so I'm not sure that he could stay with us again. We always travel with him. I'll inquire. The staff at the office were friendly. We had an HVAC mechanic at the cabin during our stay. We were headed out for the day and he was super cool about staying with our german shepherd! He even called me on my cell to let me know that he was leaving and that the dog and cabin were ok and secure! That company is a keeper!
