 The beachfront Hale is located 10 min west of Hanalei town, nestled on the North shore of Kauai and 3 minutes from famous Tunnels Beach.

This is world famous Haena - found by those who want nature, beach, relaxation, the healing waters of the sea, and just enough remoteness that they can still get into Hanalei within 10 minutes. It is a true tropical Paradise. This Hawaiian style home for family and friends sleeps 5 if you have children willing to sleep on the sleeper sofa and or the private enclosed lanai. Two bedrooms, a screened in Lanai as a third sleeping area and Kauai nature about makes this a true home for relaxing and enjoying the ocean/beach surroundings. There is good snorkeling at Babys Beach in the summer about 250 yards to the West or left of the beach path. This beach is one of the few on Kauai where shell seekers can find Niihau shells and if so lucky a sunrise shell.

Princevill is a short ride to the south with championship golfing at the Makai and Woods courses. There are 9 excellent golf courses through out the island of Kauai. Kiahuna Golf Course in Poipu is one of our favorites with special rates through the owner at certain times of the year upon special request.

Kauai is a tropical paradise/home to many celebrities the world over because and of the tropical climate, beautiful beaches, and amazing flora and plants.This is one of the oldest islands in the Hawaiian chain and one of the last paradises on earth.

Fresh organic fruits of many varieties are available at the local farmers market on Saturday  9am-11am in HANALEI.  Seek out the exotic fruits - rambutan, mangoes, papayas, lichee, breadfruit, dragon fruit, sour sap, apple bananas, mangosteen, pineapple, pomelo, jackfruit, custard apple, sapodilla, coconut, watermelon, and guava . Yum!

Famous tunnels beach ( some of the best surfing in the world ) is about 3 minutes by car. Ke'e State Beach is one of our favorite beaches and most often is a beautiful lagoon for swimming and snorkeling and is at the end of the road about 5 minutes away also. For those that want very calm waters (shallow entry ) Anini beach is about 20 min by car. This is the largest reef in the Hawaiian islands and remains calm in most storms. The water is about 2-3 feet deep in some areas extending out 40 or 50 ' into the ocean or more making it desirable for families with smaller children.

Just finished a stay here with my husband and three young boys.

Just finished a stay here with my husband and three young boys. Easy beach access which was great for after dinner walks.....close to all the beaches we love to visit and a walkable coffee store at the small hotel next door as well as a restaurant. Property was clean and large enough for all of us. We loved it!

Michael’s Beachhouse was absolutely fantastic.

Michael’s Beachhouse was absolutely fantastic. It was just steps from the beach, very remote on the North side but just close enough to go into town and grab a bite or do some shopping. My wife and I enjoyed her birthday and also our 10 year anniversary. I don’t want to say too many good things about it for risk that others will discover this hidden gem. Thank you Michael we will be back.

My husband and I eloped to Kauai a couple of weeks ago and spent a week in this house.

My husband and I eloped to Kauai a couple of weeks ago and spent a week in this house. It was perfect! It's modern and comfortable but feels like a tree-house (in the best way) at the same time. Michael was very communicative and helpful. We chatted before our trip and he gave me a lot of good information on the area. It's just a short drive to Hanalei Bay, Tunnels Beach and Ke'e Beach. We would definitely stay again!

Photos do not do this home justice, the remodel really opens up the living space. We adored this sweet home and the location was ideal for a low key and relaxing vacation. So much privacy! Listen to the waves crash all night long, it's a sound you never tire of. A quick stroll next door to the coffee shop in the morning is a must. Great espresso! It's a scenic and short drive into Hanalei town for shopping, food, mingling. Then back to your zen oasis! The North Shore of Kauai is truely untouched. It's very laid back and easy to fall in love with, to live Aloha. We will book this home again. Michael was so great to work with, excellent communication.

Had a really lovely two weeks in paradise! Far enough off the road that all you hear is the sound of waves and the birds. Close enough to town to pop there when needed, but far enough to feel the peace of Kauai. Can't wait to go there again!

Thank You for sharing this special place on the North Shore although its listed as Hanalei we now know it is Haena. The home was more than we had imagined, when you read the description is sounds good, but being there in person it really comes to life. The home was immaculate, the style and energy felt very welcoming. We were thrilled to be able to dip in the pool the night we arrived. It was to late to go in the ocean, so we poured a nice glass of wine and immersed ourselves, the moon was shining over us, truly a magical way to start our romantic vacation. We enjoyed the direct beach access, the mornings area so tranquil, we enjoy walking to the coffee house just a short stroll, the if you are into coffee it is so good...there is a very nice restaurant at the same location we enjoyed going there for happy hour and diner, food was delicious and nice to be able to walk and enjoy all these offerings, its another hidden gem. We also enjoyed grilling at the house, we bought fresh fish at the Hanalei to the fish market, sushi rolls for appetizers, fresh salad, you have to get the croutons, and of course the fish, ONO, was the best meal we made, afterwards we had to take a beach stroll to walk of dinner, and for dessert we picked up an assortment of goodies from the Kilauea Bakery, guava macaroons so good.... I could go on and on. If you are looking to have some real down time and let your inner child come out to play this is the place stay, and rejuvenate your soul. Thank you to the owners who provide and share such a nice place to create these memories.
