The late 19th century Villa Rusconi-Clerici and its garden are situated on the Piedmontese shore of Lago Maggiore surrounded by colourful flowers, historic statues and meandering paths of its English-style garden with access to the lake. With an unrivalled view of the Borromean islands and the surrounding mountains, it is the perfect setting for your vacation.

The space
One independent apartment is available within the Villa Rusconi-Clerici property. Named in honor of the great Italian musician Arturo Toscanini, who spent his holidays on the small San Giovanni Island, Duet is fully furnished with chic décor, private entrance and parking, each only 100m from the lake with full access to the beach and the garden. Both the beach and the garden are private and only used by our family, the caretaker family and by our Airbnb guests. Our 95 m² open plan apartment offers a well equipped kitchen/ dining area, a living room, a bedroom niche with closet, and a stunning 40 m² private terrace. The bedroom can be closed with curtains but has no doors. The full bathroom with tub is located on the lover level and is accessible by a staircase. You will have the entire apartment for yourself. Please note that there are stairs on the path from the gate to the apartment Duet and you’ll find a few steps in front of the apt entrance door as well. We have two bikes available for guests.

Guest access
Guests have access to the historic garden of the Villa and access to the lake. Parking for guests is available on our property.

Other things to note
Please note that we do have dogs in our property: Nena and Balu'. They hang out near the caretakers' house.
The garden overlooks the lake with its own beach, private 'darsena' and boat dock, and is accessible to guests staying in the apartment at all times, except during weddings at the villa, when some restrictions apply. However, parts of the garden are always exclusively reserved for guests staying in the apartment, see photos.
Prior booking we can share with our potential guests how many events will take place at the villa during their stay.
Small pets are negotiable with rules and extra fee.

This is a lovely home in a breathtakingly charming location. Centrally located, it's a beautiful 8-minute walk on the promenade to the business district - but we loved exploring the property grounds just as much. We really appreciated being able to cook at home and eat on the stunning terrace.

In this original apartment with plenty of space and a large terrace in a beautiful park, you can relax and unwind. Only the barking dog of our neighbor on the 1st floor, this peace and quiet broke. We had the park and access to the lake to ourselves. We loved the park and Pallazo again and enjoyed it very much. It has many stairs and steps to and in the apartment.
