La Maisonnette is the result of a long and costly restoration project and is made up of two flats (separate ads EN HAUT and EN BAS ) La Maisonnette is located in a hamlet 5 minutes by car (10/15 minutes by foot) from the town of Stresa, 40 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport. You will enjoy the incredible setting and atmosphere of a fully renovated 18th century village house with all the amenities one could ask for. This first floor (EN HAUT) apartment is perfectly suited for couples or families

The space
This stunning apartment is on the first floor of La Maisonnette. We call it La Maisonnette en Haut. It is made up of a living room with a large and comfortable sofa and armchair, satellite TV, wifi internet and a large dining table with four chairs. This living space also has a fully equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, fridge, stove, extractor hood…) It offers panoramic views of the lake thanks to large and luminous double glass windows. The apartment has a cozy, independent closed bedroom with a double bed and closet which leads to a bathroom equipped with a fully tiled walled shower with two faucets, toilet, sink and bidet.
A staircase from the living room leads up to a luminous attic loft space where there is a work area (desk and chair) in front of a dormer window overlooking the hills behind the lake as well as another double bed.
The loft space leads to a stunning, panoramic and secluded terrace offering an exceptional view of the lake and perfect for taking the sun or a drink during sunset.
For your well-being and comfort, we have chosen only natural materials during the renovation and you will be surrounded by wood and stone.
We have taken special attention to every detail to make your stay comfortable and special. (furniture, appliances, lighting, decoration…)
The apartment has an independent access from the street as well as private and secure parking on the grounds of the villa

Guest access
La Maisonnette is a dependance of my villa where I live.
It has an independent access from the street behind my villa if you come by walk, or a second access by my garden if you come by car (free private and secure parking).

Beautiful , quiet & comfortable apartment with a view of the lake. Just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the centre of Stresa . Geraldine is a delightful host who is flexible and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Géraldine's getaway was really good.

Géraldine's getaway was really good. Start every morning with coffee & a view of Stresa and the lake - unique. The cottage has been renovated and decorated with a lot of love. The walks down to the village and back up to the house were also feasible with strollers - so you did something for your health right away. Geraldine's house is wonderful! The photos don't even show the amazing view of the lake from the living areas and the terrace. Geraldine was extremely responsive and flexible, and very helpful in our trip. The house is recently renovated and feels like new, and looks exactly as is depicted in the photos. The kitchen is quite small so for anyone who wants to do a lot of cooking it might not be the best place. It was about a 20 minute walk to the center of Stresa so even without a car the location is quite good. Overall I highly recommend!

A lovely, cozy space with comfy beds and beautiful views! Géraldine was welcoming and very thoughtful with recommendations, was quick to respond when we had questions, and was a big help multiple times with a few snags in our itinerary. We explored the region daily with our car, but really appreciated how quick it was to walk into town and back each morning/evening for a meal. We look forward to returning to Stresa someday, and would absolutely love to stay at Géraldine’s.
