Description
Characterful first floor apartment in the heart of Rye, with original beams and plasterwork. Four Doors is situated in a quiet street seconds from the restaurants, shops and bars in the High Street. Very cosy in the winter.
There is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and lounge with two double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Please note: there is a steep flight of steps into the flat, there isn't a separate shower or space for a microwave.
The space
Four Doors is situated above a shop in The Citadel. The entire property, like most in this area, is Grade 2 listed. Built in the late 18th/ early 19th century it is believed to have once been attached to 16 East Street which is one of the oldest houses in Rye dating from the late 14th century. You can see some of the original plasterwork in the lounge.
The flat is light, comfortable and cosy.
Guest access
The entire place is yours to enjoy.
There isn't any parking on site but I can recommend cheap local parking.
Please note, there is a steep flight of steps into the flat.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment. Perfectly located to discover all of Rye, with good parking close by. The apartment had everything we could needed, hairdryer, Bluetooth speaker, plenty of fresh towels, cafetière, plenty of utensils for cooking.

Lovely old, characterful place in the centre of Rye. Small but perfectly formed and easy to get everywhere from. Parking wasn’t far away and was very cheap. Everything else on the doorstep - restaurants, cinema, shops. Close to the castle and church - great view from the tower!
