As Palmeiras is a newly built luxury villa on the peaceful and much sought after resort of Reserva da Luz on the west side of Luz. It is complete with all the amenities the one would expect from a property of this calibre.
In order to take advantage of the breathtaking views of the ocean and the “Black Rock” of Luz, the main living area is on what is essentially the first floor of the property, which is accessed by private electric gates up the sloping drive way.
Upon entering the front door, the lounge is directly in front of you. What immediately calls attention is the simply outstanding view!
To the left, there is a guest shower room, which is, a Jack and Jill type bathroom, serving also the first floor bedroom. This contains a king sized bed, wardrobes and patio doors on to the terrace. From this terrace, which sweeps around the front face off the first floor, an external staircase takes you down to the lower level and pool area.
To the right of the front door, is the large bright open planned kitchen with central island and breakfast bar. This is fully equipped with a wine cooler, microwave, dishwasher, oven, electric hobs, expresso coffee machine, liquidiser and toaster.
The lounge has a feature log burning stove with a large flatscreen television above with iptv channels, offering a wide range of sports, movies and music programmes for your entertainment. Lovely leather sofas add style to the room which flows on to the dining area leading through to the kitchen. On the first floor terrace there is a large table and chairs under a covered area, perfect for al fresco dining, or simply just to sit down and enjoy the view! There are also sun loungers on this level.
On the ground floor level, to the left is the master suite, with a super king size bed, ample wardrobe space, and a double set of patio doors leading out on to the pool terrace. Music comes from a JAM speaker. A huge bathroom with bath, large walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and twin wash basins.
The middle bedroom has twin beds, wardrobes with an ensuite shower room with walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet.
Next , to the right separate king size bedroom, with en suite shower room.
All lower level bedrooms have direct access to the pool terrace. There is underfloor heating throughout, as well as air-conditioning in all bedrooms.
At the base of the stairs, there is a television and games room with a flat screen television and PS2, and a mini football table. An ideal retreat away from the midday sun, in the Summer. There is an en-suite wet/ shower room, which also serves as the shower and toilet facilities for the lower pool level, given that there is an access door to the terrace. An adjacent room houses the table tennis table.
The main outdoor area consists of a large, south facing sun terrace complete with sun loungers and an additional table and chairs. All this area is just perfect for the sun worshippers, as you get the sun all day long!. A Weber barbecue is conveniently located nearby. Looking out to sea, wafter the terrace ends is the continuation of synthetic grass, which is all elevated from the street level, giving better views and additional privacy.
The pool is 10m x 5m with an electric cover to ensure that a good temperature is maintained. Pool heating is optional at £250.00 (or equivalent) per week (7 night minimum charge).
Being on the western outskirts of Luz, you can enjoy a beautiful coastal walk to Luz centre, which takes about 20-25 minutes, or, alternatively, a 3 minute car journey. Luz has a wide and safe sandy beach with water sports facilities, as well as restaurants, bars, shops, Spa and hairdressers.
Boa Vista Golf Luz is your nearest Golf course/resort, however there are many others located within 15-30 minute drive.
Burgau is the next small village, about a five-minute drive west from the villa. Another lovely beach and more cafes, bars and restaurants. Also on the outskirts is Burgau Sports Centre, an English family run facility with 3 Tennis Courts and gym, hair/nail salon and bar/pool. They also provide classes and have popular football and multi sport sessions for children and adults alike.
Inside the property you will find an additional guest book and maps. The local house manager is available, should you have any queries during your stay. There will also be a mid-week clean and towel change.
Saturday is our preferred changeover day. However, please contact us about other possible changeover days, depending on the time of year.
The first cot and high chair will be provided at no extra charge. Anymore cots and high chairs have an extra charge of £35.00 each.
Whilst the property has 4 bedrooms for 8 guests, there is a a sofa bed, in the games room that can accommodate the extra (9th) child/adult guest. In this case there is an obligatory extra charge of £150.00 per week.
