Description
Villa Maulina is a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, with adjacent Olive Press stone cottage (Est 1760) The villa is secluded, surrounded by acres of olive trees and vines, with an elevated pool, unprecedented views over the valley to Lucca. This luxurious villa is newly refurbished, retaining original features with a mix of modern furnishings and antique artefacts. Six large bedrooms (one Twin queen) 5 bathrooms, lounge, family TV room, large dining room and kitchen with island.
The space
The spaces retain the original architecture with modern upgrades throughout. Carrara marble bathrooms, generous bedrooms each having queen pillowtop bed (2 x Queen in one bedroom) and crisp 600 thread count linens. The property’s 700 Olive trees and vineyards complete the beautiful valley long views. Original press room, full of character is also available for rent for parties / events at a special additional daily rate and can be set up for you.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire villa and its grounds. Olive oil Pressroom not available for general use but can be set up for events at an additional cost
Other things to note
The villa is perfectly positioned between Florence and Pisa, and 30 mins from Viareggio and Forte Dei Marmi beach. It sits in the hills just 10 mins north of Lucca with spectacular open views down the hillside to Lucca, which itself is a beautiful ancient walled city with lots to do in and around it. We have an amazing local vineyard within 5 mins drive from the villa, and many others around, as you are in the heart of Tuscany!

The Vila was exactly what I expected and more. Everything we needed from the villa was there. Most amazing views to sit out for alfresco drinking & dining.

We were a family of 10 people in the House. It is a Big House and with plenty of space to all of us. Everything was perfect and we loved the outside place too. With sitting space with the most fantastic overlook to olivetrees and the Lucca town. The House is place High up the Hill. We loved that a lot.

We had a wonderful time in the house. The house has plenty of space, each room is stylish, modern and at the same time decorated in Tuscan style. It's an exceptional personal touch in the house and you can tell the owner does it professionally. There is even an office space where I could work in peace. The beds are super cozy and most of the time you have the view of the valley from the bed. The living rooms are also super cozy with the big old fireplaces. The kitchen is stylishly furnished and it is fun to set the table with the great dishes. The terrace makes you forget that you are in Tuscany and the pool overlooking Tuscany completes everything. We stayed here with our adult children and can absolutely recommend the house.

We had a lovely stay at Maulina. The house is beautiful , very spacious and decorated with taste . The view on the valley is amazing. Karen and Tanya recommend a great list of activities and restaurants in the surroundings. We would definitely come back.

We spent a month at the Villa and were incredibly sad to see it end. The views are some of the best we saw in Tuscany. The villa had everything we needed, the smallest details were addressed. We had assistance in setting up cars, chefs, extra cleaning, outings, and local recommendations. Truly memorable and exceptional stay.
