DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION - approximately 2 hours 1. After you have collected your car from the airport, pass through the gates of the airport. Head to the T-Junction (0.6km) and turn left here following the sign “Argostoli 8”. Be careful at this T-Junction, as it is a busy road. Follow the road, passing through Minia and the sea will be on your left. 2. Enter the resort of Lassi (5km) and you will have tavernas and shops on both sides of the road. On leaving Lassi, you head up a small hill. As you reach the brow of this hill, there is a blue sign on the right with many directions to various towns. Turn right here, following the sign “Fiskardo 56”. There is also a large “AVIN” petrol station sign at this junction. Once you have turned right, the petrol station is on your left. Follow this road downhill until you reach another T-Junction, with an “AVIN” petrol station on your left. Turn left here following the sign “Fiskardo 54km”. 3. After about 200m the road forks and you must keep to the right. The road almost doubles back on itself. Follow this road to the roundabout. 4. At the roundabout, turn left. Follow this road, with a view of the sea and Argostoli down on your left. At the next traffic lights, go straight across. Do not take either of the right hand turnings. A few hundred metres on, you come to a T-Junction. Turn right here, following the “Fiskardo” sign. 5. Soon after this is a church on your right, painted blue. At this point take the road straight up signposted “Agia Efimia” and “Myrtos”. Follow this road for a short distance until you approach an intersection. Take the left fork signposted “Agia Efimia” and “Myrtos”. You will shortly pass an electricity sub station on your left and a little further on a quarry. At the approaching intersection take the right up hill turn to “Agia Efimia” and “Myrtos”. Continue on this up hill road until you reach the Stop sign and T-Junction. Be aware of approaching traffic from the right and left. Turn left towards “Agia Efimia”, “Myrtos” and “Fiscardo”. 6. Drive through the village of “Dilinata” until you reach the large sign directing you to the left towards “AgiaEfimia”, ”Myrtos” and “Fiscardo”. You will pass a burial ground on your right as you follow the road up to the top towards the church on the hill. Here you turn sharp right where the road almost doubles back on itself. You are now on the new wide mountain road. Stay on this road until it ends in the village of “Drakata” 7. At the crossroads turn right and head towards “Agia Efimia”. Ignore the road signs directing you straight on for Fiscardo and Assos as this journey takes you over a narrow, mountainous and badly surfaced road. On your approach into “Agia Efimia” follow the deviation signs to the left for “Fiscardo “ and “Assos”. This left turn is as you approach the road with no entry ahead. Drive carefully as this is a narrow winding uphill road with several sharp bends. Stay on this road, which will take you up into the village of “Dendrinata”. 8. At the intersection follow the deviation sign, which is a sharp right turn sign-posted to “Fiscardo “ and “Assos”. Shortly you will see the sea out to your right and you follow this coastal road up through the villages of “Neochori” and “Komitata” Drive carefully through these villages, as the road is very narrow. 9. As you approach the next village of “Karya” you will see a deviation sign to the right for “Fiscardo”. Turn right and continue on this road through “Vari”, “Plagia“ and “Messavounia”. In this village you will pass a small café on your right and shortly after this you approach the village of “Vasillikades”. At the intersection follow the deviation signs to the right for “Fiscardo”. You are now on the main road and deviation signs will stop. 10. Follow this road through “Konidarata” and then “Ventourata”. You pass a sign on your right saying you are about to enter the village of “MAGANOS”, slow down, as this village road is extremely narrow. In the centre of the village, on the left, you will pass a supermarket with fruit and vegetables outside and a taverna and coffee shop. Pass through the village and head down hill. You will pass through “Anti Pata Erisou” with a large church on your right. Drive straight on for Fiskardo, 11. As you approach “Fiscardo” drive past the left hand turn for the Ferry Port, and the road with no entry sign and follow the road round to the right towards the car park. You will see a Blue Parking sign on the left. Keep on this road, which takes you above the village with the harbour down below. You will pass rubbish skips on your right and further along ”Fiscardo Bay” hotel on the left. Take the 2nd left turn towards the car park. At the STOP sign, turn immediately right taking the narrow road out of Fiskardo. 12. Continue past the Kiki Apartments and Faros Suites on the right. Follow the road round to the right. Keep on this road with the sea on your left. A short distance along you will pass a sign for Kaminakia Apartments on the right where the road bends round to the left. Slow down as you are almost there. Thea Cottage is up on the right opposite the lay by overlooking the sea and just before the sign for Stella Apartments. Thea Cottage is through the green gates and up the stone steps. The keys to the front door are through gates, up the steps and under the doormat on the balcony. Welcome to Thea Cottage!
