If you are dreaming of a relaxing family holiday with your pets in the tranquillity of nature, this detached house is perfect: it is located in an enchanting position with a panoramic view of picturesque Barga (1 km), a medieval village suspended between the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and the Apuan Alps. The beauty of Barga's mountains is combined with the variety of colours, the mildness of the climate, the presence of remarkable works of art and the lively hospitality of its people. This town of ancient traditions has been included in the list of Italy's Most Beautiful
Villages drawn up by ANCI. It was awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club for its numerous cultural sights and its well-kept historic centre.
40 km north of Lucca, in an enchanting hilly landscape, this holiday home welcomes you. From the ground floor you enter a spacious living room with dining area, a functional kitchen with a beautiful view of the mountains, a bathroom with tub, from which you can enjoy the view of Barga; descending 14 spiral stairs you reach the lower floor (which can also be reached from the outside from the parking area, crossing the garden, without stairs, entering the living room where there is a sofa bed for two people with smart TV), there is a bathroom with shower, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, furnished in a cosy and rustic atmosphere, the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The terrace can be reached from the garden by climbing 14 comfortable steps or from the parking area by walking a few metres). The house offers: Wi-fi, 2 SMART-TV in both living rooms, washing machine in the sleeping area; 1 split air conditioning/heat pumps (1 in the living room), pallet stove in the living room. Outside, adults and children can enjoy playing: basketball basket, 2 five-a-side football goals; darts, ping-pong table; board games.
P.S The last 550 metres after leaving Viale Cesare Biondi in Barga, you will have to make a sharp bend on your left, drive the last 250 metres at moderate speed, the road is asphalted but narrow, typical of country roads to reach locations with enchanting and unique views.
Literature lovers should note that just four kilometres from Barga is the hamlet of Castelvecchio Pascoli, where the poet Giovanni Pascoli lived for several years; trekking enthusiasts, on the other hand, can follow the Via Matildica del Volto Santo (Matildic Road of the Holy Face), which starts in Mantua, crosses the Garfagnana and Media Valle del Serchio, and reaches the historic centre of Lucca, in particular as far as the Duomo di San Martino. Barga and the entire area surrounding it are an attractive destination at all times of the year, and the events that light up the town between July and August, such as the Festa delle piazzette, the Fish and Chips Festival, and the Barga Jazz Festival, are highly appreciated. In Barga, as throughout the Garfagnana and Media Valle del Serchio, dishes based on Garfagnana PGI spelt and PDO farina di neccio, two local excellences that lend themselves very well to the preparation of sweet and savoury dishes, are typical.
We look forward to an unforgettable holiday in this cosy and comfortable holiday home in a land rich in scenic, cultural and gastronomic resources!
