is a beautiful place for you to retreat, relax, reset and revive yourself!
Here, deep in the heart of the River Stinchar valley, shielded from the outside world by the bulk of Knockdolian hill to one side, and the tempestuous sea on the other, you can spend peaceful days, surrounded by nature, under the trees, listening to birdsong and our burbling river, just taking time for you.
And when you've relaxed enough, Tig Cottage is the perfect base to explore the mysterious rugged coastline, rolling hills and historic homes and castles of Ayrshire and the Scottish Southern Uplands.
At night, you can experience the true majesty of the galaxy under our Dark Skies, with plenty of stargazing opportunities, whilst the endangered pipistrelle bats swoop and soar in the sky above you.

Amazing location
If you want to be away from busy city life. This is it. Amazing, peaceful, relaxing place. We also had the dog 🕠who enjoyed the walks very much. Cottages is very clean, you have everything u needed and more .Internet working perfectly. Victoria was an amazing host ,checking if we need anything, Ian and his wife( cleaners) were very nice too.
