Within 6 miles lies the harbour town of Arbroath, famous for its Smokies and historic Arbroath Abbey, with the world famous Lunan Bay just a few miles further along the coast. For culture seekers and shopping the city of Dundee is only 15 miles away, whilst Aberdeen and Edinburgh are within an hour and a half drive. For golfers, the Carnoustie Championship course is only a 15 minute drive and the St. Andrews Championship courses can be reached in 50 minutes.
Close by, Glamis Castle is only 12 ½ miles always and is a popular tourist choice whatever the weather. The Angus glens are popular with hill walkers, as is fishing on the river Tay and Esk along with sea angling trips from Arbroath. Carnoustie 6 miles away, Lunan Bay 13 miles away, St Andrews 28 miles away.
