Pallas Lodge is a very attractive, unusual and comfortable home, in its own large garden. The entrance hall leads to a very large open plan living room, with very high ceilings, open fire place and double doors to the patio area. The dining area and kitchen adjoin. Downstairs you will find the sun room, which has double doors to a separate patio. Upstairs, there are 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom including Jacuzzi bath and shower. The second bedroom has its own en-suite with shower. On the first floor there is a third bedroom, with a double bed and a single bed. A shower room adjoins. Downstairs, there is a gallery lounge which overlooks the sitting room. The house includes an open fire place and oil-fired central heating.
Activities: The Beara Way walks are varied and well marked. Golf may be played at nearby Castletownbere or Kenmare. Sailing can be arranged at the West Cork Sailing Centre, Adrigole. You can enjoy shore and lake fishing in well marked locations, throughout the peninsula. Sea Angling may be arranged at Castletownbere and Kenmare.
Beautiful home with amazing views! This home had everything needed for our party of four. The owners are the kindest people you will meet. We stayed for a week and we were quite sad to leave. A quiet area and a great place to renew yourself. We spent the week visiting historic sites, driving mountain passes, and even took a walk with alpacas!!
This is a beautiful house in a fabulous location. The house has every amenity, a wonderful view in the Beara peninsula, which for someone who has been to Ireland 8 times is one of the most interesting and least visited places in Ireland. If you want peaceful, interesting and comfortable places - this is the place for you.
5 Star Home, friendly locals and the best views on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Spent a week at Pallas Lodge with my family and I can highly recommend staying at Pat and Kay’s gorgeous home. Photos on website do not do justice to this wonderful home. It is spotlessly clean, spacious, equipped with everything you could ask for and icing on the cake was the warm welcome from Pat and all the ingredients for an Irish fry in the fridge! Scenery in the area and along the Ring of Beara is without doubt the best I’ve seen in Ireland and is dotted with cute villages and friendly locals. Take note, roads are not for the faint hearted but the beauty around each twist and turn makes the journey very worthwhile. Sample the fresh cod with a pint of gorgeous Guinness at Helen’s on the Pier or the carrot cake and coffee at Dzogchen Beara while contemplating the meaning of life! All in all a 5 star trip with 5 star accommodation. â¤ï¸
We cannot express our appreciation for our fabulous experience at Kay and Patrick’ s beautiful home. Most beautiful scenery and friendliest people in Ireland. Kay and Pat were so accommodating and helpful in showing us the real Irish.
