The farmhouse sits on 80 acres of meadows and woods, set well back from the road. The largest of 3 spring-fed ponds is over an acre in size and wonderful for swimming. Stratton and Bromley are within 5 miles and Manchester and Weston are within easy driving distances.
The farmhouse was built in 1870 and contains an updated kitchen, dining room, living room, study, 7 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Two fireplaces add to the cozy atmosphere. There is a no-fuss electric sauna house next to the top pond.

Love the farm with all its charm and history. Meets our family needs - plenty of room, great dining table and farm manager and owner easily available if any problems arise. Easy access to skiing and shopping.
Loved this cozy farmhouse and property and surrounding area
This house was perfect for our first getaway since Covid began. It was cozy with all the comforts of home and then some. We especially enjoyed the view with the ponds. House has a nice central location for visiting other charming towns: Grafton, Manchester, Dorset. Loved Ungrounded Coffee’s Maple Lattes, Honeypies burgers, the Vermont Butcher Shop, Craft beer store next to Ungrounded, apple picking and warm cider donuts at Mad Tom orchard, visiting Mimi and the animals at Taylor Farm, the farmers market in Londonderry Sat morning was chock full of great vendors, especially the cheese king of Vermont!
The fire pit and grill area was perfect for cooking our steak from the Vermont Butcher shop even in the drizzly rain. Thank you Nick for offering your farmhouse. We will definitely return.
My family of 5 and our black lab thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful location with three ponds for catching massive frogs, swimming, fishing and paddle boarding. We had a couple of days of rain during our stay and explored the surrounding towns a little. The farmhouse has updated kitchen appliances, wifi worked well, and my kids loved the two tv's for watching different programs in the evenings.
The Perfect Family Getaway
Our extended family rented this property for a birthday celebration. The weekend that we spent there was nothing but rainy weather but it didn’t matter! The house is cozy yet has plenty of room for everyone! We stayed busy on the property during the breaks in weather, fishing, canoeing and just enjoying the atmosphere! We would definitely like to go back again. The property seems to be perfect for any time of year whether mid winter or mid summer! The hosts were extremely gracious and easy to communicate with!
A comfortable big farmhouse with a swimming pond and space for all. Private with modern conveniences including Wifi.
Plenty of towels and supplies. Fun for all including well behaved dogs!! The owner is very receptive and helpful. The pool table adds to the fun. South Londonderry is great for grocery shopping, bank and pharmacy. The Vermont Country Store is 20 minutes away. Swim, fish, paddle in the pond. Enjoy the country.
We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this house. Plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone to find their niche. Loved the well equipped kitchen and farmhouse table to enjoy our meals. Loved the outdoor grill and patio too! The property is amazing. Even though it was early spring (mud season), we loved walking around the ponds and our dog loved jumping right in. Location is a perfect jumping point to visit Woodstock, Brattleboro, Manchester and all of Southern Vermont. We did get in some spring skiing, and the hiking and biking in the area was great too. Loved reading the historic guest book and all the great stays people have had at the farmhouse. Looking forward to going again someday!
What a fabulous few days we had. The farm is fabulous for a group. The property and setting is gorgeous. The funky old farmhouse is super comfortable, warm & toasty and complete breath of fresh air compared to all the fancy over-priced boujee McMansions throughout the area. (However, there is great WiFi, terrific kitchen appliances compared to other rentals I’ve been in, a pool table, and really soft sheets). The kids skied all day at Bromley, Magic, & Stratton, then went sledding when we came home till after dark. Mimi, the nice woman who helps to maintain the VRBO, stopped by and graciously invited us to visit her down the road at Taylor Farm. she said the kids would love the animals. We never did make it due to all our skiing. Thanks, Mimi! Next time! And there Will Be a next time. Ellen D.
Came up for a long weekend with extended family (nieces and nephews) for a family retreat. Wonderful stay. This is an old family farmhouse on acres of rolling land. It was perfect for a winter stay to be close and catch up with everyone. Big kitchen, close to skiing, cozy and well appointed. You won't feel like you are in a generic rental- you will like you are a guest in someone's family vacation home. Plenty of bedrooms and areas for people to peel off to. I rented snowshoes (from a ski shop 5 minutes away) and hiked right out the backdoor . And the caretaker- Mimi- was just great and super responsive. Hoping to be back next winter!
A very cozy house with incredibly nice hosts. Jake Burton who invented the snowboard and Burton brand has lived in this house in the 70s. The house has a sauna and a fireplace. There is also a pool table.
