Just right for us.
This was exactly the right place for our large family to stay. It was away from the tall high-rise hotels, which meant that there were no crowds of people trying to share the same beach area. We were able to literally walk off of our patio right onto the beach, and at times we saw turtles in the water. To our right, there was a beach volleyball court; to the left were Waverunner rentals and a parasailing launch site. Before arriving in Cancun, I had booked a parasailing tour with hotel pickup, but once we saw that they operated everyday right from our beach, we opted to skip the scheduled tour in favor of parasailing on the beach with our family watching from the terrace. The villa had all of the towels and cooking and dining utensils we needed, and there was plenty of room. Communication with Terri was excellent, and she was overly accommodating when we had an unusual circumstance come up. The information sheet (about airport arrival, getting around Cancun, where to buy groceries, emergency contacts, housekeeping services, tour companies, etc.) that she provided before our arrival was fantastic. I was worried that the location would not be close enough to the marinas, malls, and restaurants, but it turned out to be perfect - we took the buses for 12 pesos (65 cents) per person, and we literally never waited more than 30 seconds to wave the next one down to pick us up. All of the tours we chose were easily able to pick us up and drop us off at the front of the resort just by telling them we were at Solymar Resort, and having the villa as part of a resort complex meant that we could get luggage assistance if we wanted and had ATMs (one in pesos, one in dollars) and a small-but-convenient sundry shop available. Everything we wanted or needed to do in Cancun that wasn't right there at the villa was within a 10-20 minute bus ride. There is truly nowhere else I would have chosen to book our stay, and I hope we make it back there again sometime.

Wow! We had a wonderful vacation that exceeded all of our expectations. And it's all due to staying at Terri's great condo. We were in Cancun for a family wedding. This place was the perfect spot for eight of us that stayed. Comfy rooms and beds with a bath for each couple. Super fast easy access to the rest of hotel zone via bus or taxi (we used both just depending on time). But the best features were the patio access to the beach and Terri's assistant Erika. That private patio space right on the beach beats anywhere I've ever stayed. And Erika comes in everyday to clean and straighten up the place. It's just like being in a hotel. Plus she was super nice, helpful with our questions and a pleasure to interact with. You can order meal prep when you are doing booking with Terri. We only scheduled this service on one day and we all regretted we didn't have Erika cook for a few more days. Food was delicious and super convenient when you don't feel like leaving the condo. We never used the pool (spent our time in the ocean) but always saw it in use by families. We did try the pool restaurant at various times throughout the trip and found the food to be fine. It's a food buffet. The beach side bar serves food too and there you can order off a menu. Jet skis, parasailing and massages (on condo property beach-side) are available only steps away from the condo patio. We used all of these!

Mom’s 60th birthday celebration
We absolutely loved this place. It had enough room for all 11 of us to be comfortable. The kids loved having pool and beach toys, which were a big hit. The beach chairs were perfect when we wanted to be close to the water. The resort bar was very basic. The swim up bar was worse, but since we brought our own drinks and music it didn’t affect us. We did have an incident with a power outage on the second to last day where groceries spoiled , but Terri was wonderful and had dinner delivered right to us. The resort pool is not 5 star, but the beach is the same no matter where you stay. The villa is lovely and has everything you could need. If you are looking for a villa for a large group then this is your place. We all absolutely loved it!

Wonderful vacation
We had an amazing time at this villa. There were 11 of us and it never felt crowded. The kids loved being able to walk right down to the beach and get in the water! Terri was easy to communicate with which made the whole process seamless! I highly recommend the meal plan. Everything was delicious and we wish we could have taken Erika home with us! Do not hesitate to book. It was a wonderful trip.

Fantastic Villa
We had so much fun in the Villa. Our grownup family of 5 had more than enough room to spare and it was so close to the beach. First night there we had at least 4 gigantic turtles come within sight of the lower terrace, one about 10 feet away! The villa was very well furnished for all we needed to cook several meals and relax after long days at the beach and sightseeing in and around Cancun. The bus always stopped within seconds at the street level to take us where we wanted to go. Highly recommend this Villa. Terri the owner and Erika the housekeeper were both a pleasure to work with.

Perfect Paradise Getaway
Myself and 8 other friends (9 total) Spent a week at villa 8 and it was the absolute BEST vacation I've ever had. The villa is located literally on the beach, and is a quick bus ride away from all the bars and clubs in downtown Cancun. (the bus ride initially sounded like an inconvenience but the bus rides proved to be rather fun!) Most evenings we got to watch the sea turtles swim up onto the beach and lay their eggs, which was a great experience if you're here in the right season. We also had Erika there to cook for us and that proved to be one of the highlights of the trip; her cooking is INCREDIBLE and very authentic, plus she's always smiling and singing to herself which made for a very upbeat atmosphere. The only *slight* complaint our group had was that the beach closed at 6pm on some nights, and not others apparently so it was kind of hit-or-miss as to whether or not a sunset dip was going to happen. Other then that, it was perfect. Terri got all the information we needed to us in a very timely manner which made transportation to/from the resort easy, she was easy to contact the few times we needed to, and the villa had any/all amenities you could ever need to have the perfect Mexican beach vacation. We would happily come and stay here again :)

Wonderful Family Christmas
Easily slept our two families (11 people) kids age 22--10. There is something to said for falling asleep listening to the ocean. The beach was quiet and very pleasant, how do you beat white sand and blue water. The living space was large enough for us to visit play games and spread out as needed. We were able to communicate with the property manager of owner without complication. We had no problems with our stay and would recommend this villa for its beach front access and ample room in the villa and patio for privacy if you wish. There have been comments about the life guards, they do know what they are talking about we swam everyday and all day. With such a long beach there are many rip tides and the guards know where they are. This helps with the overall safety of everyone, unfortunately, most people don't know and understand the rip and only get annoyed by whistles instead of seeking understanding. thank you for a great Christmas experience!

Family getaway
Great location for our family of 11. We ranged in age From 2-85 and all were comfortable. The number of stairs are a consideration if accessibility is an issue. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. Erica was efficient and helpful. Her meals were wonderful. Great place

GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN CANCUN ON THE BEACH
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay here!! We had 8 adults and 4 children 7 and under. It was perfect being right on the beach and next door to a pool!! We feel the condo/homes are MUCH NICER than the resort next door, but it was convenient to be able to use their outdoor amenities - outdoor pool, bar, nice chairs on the beach under permanent heavy duty umbrellas. There is nice outdoor furniture on the patio - lounge chairs table and chairs. We utilized all 3 levels of the residence and everyone was very comfortable. Air conditioners worked great in all of the rooms. WE WERE VERY HAPPY THAT WE SCHEDULED ERIKA TO COOK FOR US!! She provided us breakfast and lunch most of the days we were there and we were able to order several groceries to be there upon our arrival. She took very good care of all of us!! Beautiful Villa, perfect location and wonderful owner, manager and cook!
We met my sister-in-law and her family at this Villa to celebrate Thanksgiving and three family birthdays. We had six kids; 1-15yo, 4-20yos, 1-21yo. NONE of us wanted to leave. Between the cook, Erika, Eunice, who manages the property, and Terri, the owner, our time in Cancun was incredible. Each one of them took their time ensuring our time was nothing short of relaxing. Erika is an incredible cook-better than eating out! Even though we had to squeeze around the table, it was worth it. The beach bar at the resort was super fun and offered great snacks. The pool was not appealing so we stayed at our place and the beach the whole time-which was JUST fine!!! Eunice was so helpful and went out of her way to make certain every birthday celebration was perfect and that we were stocked with what we needed so we didn’t have to go to the store. The Villa was spacious enough for everyone to have their own space with a bed to sleep on. There are also plenty of games, beach chairs, books to read and the kitchen is stocked to cook and make anything. We all look forward to returning!!!!
