Awesome vacation. Right close to Bryce canyon!!

The whole stay was awesome. We loved everything about it. We loved Bryce Canyon which was just nearby. What a great vacation.

Darling quiet farmhouse

Tom the owner was excellent to work with. Very responsive and helpful in giving advice on local attractions. The house is just as described and really a cute little old home. Very comfortable. Neighbors were friendly and a local young man mowed the lawn while we were were there. Very polite and friendly. There were only 2 of us but the home could easily sleep 6 adults. My only suggestion would be some new towels in the bathrooms, but then, the vintage towels sort of add to the charm! The yard was awesome and we enjoyed eating green apples and laying on the hammock. Really, I would recommend this quiet little home to anyone looking for a nice getaway that is close to national parks and beautiful Central Utah!

Great stay!

Our family of five (3 sons 21, 19 and 16) had a marvelous time at the farmhouse and Tom couldn´t have been more friendly or helpful. We hope to return to Tropic and the farmhouse one day. The boys were delighted to find a Play Station 2 and we were pleased with all the spices, cooking ware, etc. in the kitchen. Tropic is a hop, skip and jump from Bryce Canyon and there is much more to explore in the area too though we didn´t have the time.

Great place for a family get-away

All of us, including my parents, husband, and two young kids very much enjoyed our stay at this very authentic vacation home. It was our first trip to the southwest and thus enjoyed living in the rather rural area of Tropic, which was perfectly located between Bryce Canyon and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, which we both visited for great hikes and outdoor fun. Tropic itself has nothing to offer than an ok grocer and some dining (that we did not try) but it had a nice playground with great sprinklers, plenty of horses (great for myself and my daughter), and even a baseball field and team (great for my son). Tom was a great host, always responsive and very helpful. The house itself is old and a few things don't work as properly anymore (i.e. some doors don't close, the dishwasher does not clean well the dishes and hence some needed extra cleaning before use) but nothing that significantly bothered us or diminished our stay. The garden is amazing with a couple of trees hanging full of fruit of which sadly most weren't quite ripe yet during our stay. Overall, I can really recommend that property for visitors who like to experience the quiet life of the southwest and who are looking for an affordable stay close to amazing nature attractions.

Quiet farmhouse

It was nice, quiet and refreshing.

Farm house in Utah

Clean and charming farm house. Tom was an outstanding host. Great info about activities in the area. We were very comfortable, and enjoyed the yard and fruit trees.

Great location.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Close to Bryce and we went to Mossy Cave (not too thrilling). Tom’s suggestion of going to Willis Creek Slot Canyon was a good one!!!! We thought it was well worth the dusty drive on a dirt road. Be sure to get good directions! The beds were comfortable , cottage quaint and clean. The town offered a grocery and restaurant s. We particularly like the barbecue.

Perfect

This property is the ideal place to stay if you are exploring Bryce Canyon and you want to be away from the carnival atmosphere of Bryce Canyon City. The house is charming and comfortable. The property is tremendous. Tom is a very responsive host. I will recommend this house to all of my friends

Mules in the back yard!

I wish I could live here. So close to amazing things to do even though I loved just relaxing in the hammock under the fruit trees. A farm house may not appeal to everyone but I preferred it to staying around Ruby’s. My highlight was the 3 hour horseback ride from the Bryce Lodge to the canyon floor via the Peek a Boo route. We had brunch at the lodge that was excellent as was the Stone Hearth Grille in Tropic. My husband bicycled when I went horseback riding. He said he would have gotten the e-bike if he did it again. Our last day we rented ATVs and explored a different canyon which my husband loved (beware though, very dusty). I will have pleasant dreams of Tropic and the horses and mules that graze there after their difficult job of taking riders down from the windy rim.

House in Tropic

Quiet, comfortable stay in very well equipped home. Lots of space to spread out, enjoy the large backyard, and have a great sleep after hiking all day! Great communication with owner who was very helpful!

Tropic Getaway.

Nice country house with everything you need at a great price. Friendly neighborhood. Tropic is a great town to stay in gas and food are less expensive here than most of the town's in the area. It is perfectly located so you can hit most the parks and even get to Brian Head Resort before they open if you leave by 8:00am. Tom is friendly and wants to make sure you have a great time. Would definitely stay here again.
