This is a Upstairs unit overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Two bedrooms, 1.5 baths with an extra large front porch. There is an additional downstairs unit (VRBO#1767552) for larger families that need more space. Quite, serene, waterfront home. No tourists--no hotels--no fast foods--just the real deal like old Florida used to be.
We have a kayak, beach chairs and a large deck to sit and sun on that we share with the neighbors. Alligator Point, Carrabelle, Dog Island, St. George Island, and Apalachicola are all within an hour's drive of the house.
The Ochlocknee River State Park, FSU Marine Lab, Wakulla Springs State Park and the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge are all close by with a top notch golf course, St. James Bay only 10 minutes from the house.

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at this house earlier this year and it was beyond perfect. The pictures do not do the view from the porch justice. We had an amazing time and it was just what we needed. If you have a boat this is the place to stay. There are several close boat ramps in the area, and anchoring in front of the house is a breeze with no need to take the boat out every night. The inshore fishing here is some of the best the panhandle has offer, and is only a 5 minute boat ride from the house in either direction. If you happen to see another person on the beach during your stay you will be greeted with a smile and a friendly face. Can’t say enough about the owner extremely helpful and treats you like family. We will surely be back very soon!
We were looking for a quiet place to spend some family time on the beach. We found this home and decided to give it a try after reading others' reviews and doing a little research on the area. St. Teresa is a tiny place and definitely "off the map" as far as the normal hustle and bustle goes. Once we arrived we made a trip to the grocery store (a must) and, other than a short break to Apalachicola, didn't leave during our vacation. We found everything to be as was advertised and just as others have stated in their reviews. The owner has thought of everything and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. High on our list . . . we really enjoyed the beach at low tide. Be sure to read tidal charts and explore the shallow waters for crabs and other creatures, but be on the lookout for stingrays and jellyfish. We saw a few but avoided them with a little care. We were fortunate enough to see Manatees (very rare) and dolphins during our stay. Our thanks goes out to the owner for sharing his home. We can't wait to go back!
I took my five year old twin grandsons here in mid-June and we loved it. Great location between Ochlockonee Bay and Carrabelle with clear shallow water for the little ones to play and miles of beach for our low tide "treasure walks". We enjoyed eating all our meals on the screened porch and being so close to the water was great with little ones. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable and we have a week long stay scheduled next month to enjoy fall fishing and more beach time with all the little ones.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Hidden Gem ! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, with a huge front porch that was perfect for early morning coffee and watching the sunrise. The beach is only a few steps from the house and our two hairy children (okay, they are actually dogs but don't tell them!) had the time of their lives playing in the waves and on the shoreline. It was so refreshing!! We will be returning as soon as our schedules will allow!
Have rented the upstairs and downstairs units over the past 2 years. Both units are spacious, comfortable, clean, well stocked and best of all quiet! Most of the time was spent on the flat beaches during the day and on the screened in porch for the evening! Morning and evening dolphin shows are enjoyable! If you want a nice quiet, non-commercialized vacation spot then this is it!
Looking forward to coming again sometime!
Our first Home Away experience and what a surprise! I was a little skeptical at first due to this being our first experience and reading the one negative review. But all skepticism was gone in the first 10 mins. as Fincher was a great host and truly sums up what southern hospitality means! The place was perfect for us and our 3 daughters who spent hours collecting "treasures" on the beach or swimming in the beautiful water . The house was definitely stocked with anything we needed and provides amazing views which make you not want to leave. But the area has plenty to do if you find the strength to leave this relaxing oasis. I cannot say enough about this experience, this host, or this community; we loved every second of our stay and will definitely come back.
A great place to stay. Fincher was very helpful and flexible with our travel needs.
The view from the upstairs porch and windows was beautiful... two herons seemed to have a morning ritual of hanging out on the beach right in front of this house. We enjoyed a few sunrise views. The unit is comfortable and nicely decorated. St Teresa is a peaceful beautiful setting.
We had a wonderful 5 days at Fincher’s place in St. Teresa! The space was comfortable and everything you could need was at hand, the view unbelievable, and Fincher was available and warm.
My husband and I needed a relaxing vacation from the little ones...and boy did we find that here! It was one of the BEST vacations we've ever had. We only saw 6 people the whole time we were there. I layed out on the deck on the beach most days while my husband rested on the screened-in porch. The owner was great and very helpful...we felt like we had been old friends! We will definitely be staying here again (and again and again and again....)

Great beach house off the beaten track
Had a lovely stay here - peaceful and intimate surroundings - had a grill and kayaks - it was a fun family getaway
