Lower Matecumbe Key is famous for its fishing, from tarpon at channel 2 , to direct bay access, minutes from the reef through channel 5, and then out to the Islamorada or Marathon humps for tuna ,dolphin (Mahi Mahi), and all the game fish. Sea Oates Beach is a quick ride or a 10 minute walk with your fly rod for bonefish.
A great attraction at the bayfront home is that you can swim or fish right from the property.
This uniquely furnished home has been decorated with true Keys flavor. It has two separate living areas each with their own full service kitchens You can have both togetherness and privacy with 2 bedroom and 2 baths upstairs and 2 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs.

Wonderful and Relaxing
Our family of 5 recently vacationed at this property and had a fabulous time. There was plenty of entertainment for everyone. And the wildlife...we saw dolphins and manatees swimming in front of the home. We even caught lobsters just off the seawall almost every night. The accommodations were clean and private. The views were spectacular. Thanks Judy!

The MOST perfect vacation
We arrived a little before Lobster season 2013. With butterflys in our stomachs, hoping that is was actually the real deal with so many scams out there, we pulled into one of the most beautiful properties on Lower Matecumbe!! The landscaping up front is very inviting and tropical. After turning the corner to the pool deck, all of our mouths dropped in awe. This view is UNREAL!! It is absolutly, breath-takingly gorgeous!!! We toured the house and were nothing but ecstatic for the next 10 days of our serene adventure! We fished offshore, explored a few unmarked reefs, as well as the marked reefs. Lobster season was better than we could have planned!! With all of our gps saved 'bug holes' directly out from the property, it was like playing in our own backyard. We fished directly from the dock every night!! With many Keys trips under our belts, good food is key and we know exactly where to find it. This year was different, we only visited 2 of our favorite restaurants. Every other night we cooked fresh fish and lobster right at the house. It was so relaxing and calming there, we never wanted to leave!! We thoroughly enjoy every second of our stay at this house. Even with a larger group it was very quiet, the setup of the house makes it so you never really see anyone or at least not right on top of your vacation partners. Our group collectively has over 70 years experience of vacationing in the Florida Keys and would rent this location again and again every year if possible. A big THANK YOU to Rich and Judy for making this all possible for us and we will see ya next year!! :)
