Description

Camilla Lower Level Guest House - Set amongst more than six acres of native tropical gardens and with 325 feet of beachfront, Villa Camilla Guest House is one of the largest and last remaining private beachfront properties along this world famous, 12-mile stretch of beach.

Just across the dunes, you'll find fine, sugar white sand and water so turquoise it doesn't seem real. And the coral reef that begins nearby just off shore teems with colorful tropical fish. Don your mask and snorkel in glorious Princess Alexandra Marine Park. Or enjoy any of the island's many activities, nightlife, restaurants, and other adventures, all nearby to Villa Camilla Guest House.

Villa Camilla Guest House has two sun-filled apartments, one on the upper level and one on the lower level. From the decks, you cannot help but gasp at the beautiful view…khaki grasses dotting low rolling dunes and a wide, brilliantly white beach that slips softly into a turquoise bay so serene you can hardly tell where it meets the sky.

Each apartment includes a living/dining area with an open kitchen, an air conditioned bedroom with ensuite bath as well as a deck for lounging and watching Provo’s magnificent sunsets with cool drink in hand. In addition, the upper unit has a cathedral ceiling and sleeping loft with two twin beds that is reached by a ship’s ladder, making it an ideal choice for a family of four.

Note that the rental includes a $50/week allowance for electricity which is generally sufficient for your needs.

AMAZING FAMILY VACATION

This propert borders the national park on Grace bay. The beach was empty. You could see fish, turtles and rays right off the beach. The owner and property manager were just amazing people. Everyone was super nice and the place was perfect for our family of 3. The plunge poool was a plus and we never needed to use the air conditioner. We parasailed right off the beach. The property is beautiful and well kept. I highly recommend this property as it's super private and a diamond in the ruff.

Beautiful Property

This place is perfect AND affordable! Secluded, private, beautifully landscaped. Steps from Bight and Grace Bay Beach. Loved having our own private pool and patio. Nicely equipped kitchen. Cool, fun place for drinks and good food right next door (Somewhere Bar). Conveniently located to the IGA Graceway Supermarket. Close to several other restaurants on Lower Bight Road. The property management and onsite caretaker are all extremely nice. Highly recommend this place in Provo!

Affordable place with great location

This had the perfect location! Right next to some of the best hotels on the Island. Beach accessible and great views. Very safe with lots of security. Could use some upgrades however the price was perfect. Thanks for a great first trip to Turks and we will be back!

Never wanted to leave! Property was as advertised. Beautiful lush surroundings and private setting.

We loved our stay at Villa Camilla and never wanted to leave! We enjoyed our own private little pool and grill. We also walked to the beach many times. It's in a very convenient location. Close to everything yet very private. Jade was very accommodating and informative. The villa had everything we needed. We often cooked at home. The over sized shower was fantastic. My only first world complaint would be that we would've preferred central A/C. Even though there's a window unit that works fine, we preferred it off as the overhead fans sufficed. But it truly was like our own little paradise. We hope to return soon.

Fantastic home base

We stayed 7 nights in early December. This is a lovely property just off the beach. The staff who maintains it are lovely and very helpful. They helped us out of a pickle when our flights were cancelled with zero drama and a great deal of compassion. They even cleaned the home again on the last day when my husband was stranded an extra night. They also attended to every little thing we asked for during our stay, including a brand new fan when we mentioned the older one was loud. There is window unit air conditioning in the bedroom that keeps the bedroom quite cool, but it’s quite loud to those who are more accustomed to central air. It has everything we needed except one tiny recommendation: cups with covers. That would’ve been very nice to have for taking a drink to the beach. Everything else was great, coffee maker, little cooler, hair dryer (don’t bother, too humid!) beach towels, toiletries... I found the bed very comfortable and the linens and towels very nice quality. We had very little trouble with the alarm mentioned in other reviews. It did give off a false silent alarm one night that sent a security officer to check on us, but it didn’t blare or wake us up. I honestly felt even safer after that knowing we were closely monitored. The landscaping on the grounds is really beautiful. The caretakers left fresh flowers for us in conch shells. The location is great! We walked to fish fry. It about 30 yards to Bight Reef which has a very respectable amount of lovely fish to see for such a highly visited reef. I felt very safe in the area. The people here seemed very nice all around.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

The Villa is in a great location. Short path to the beach and we could see the water from our deck. We were a few minutes from Grace Bay and could go and eat at several restaurants that were pretty amazing. The grocery store was close which was a plus. The care taker on the property was wonderful and Jade, our contact, was terrific. She made recommendations of activities and helped us do what we needed to do to be ready. I Highly recommend the Thursday night fish fry, great food and entertainment and walking distance from the Villa. I was concerned about The Villa being in a safe location and it absolutely was. There is an alarm system for added security and we had zero issues with that. Another suggestion for future renters, Get your rental car from Grace Bay Car Rentals, NOT Economy. My one regret.... Forgetting bug spray.... We took the Ferry to North and Middle Caicos and the mosquitos were CRAZY!!!! There was much more to do but we headed back a little early due to those pests. To the folks at Villa Camillas, Thank you for a wonder Vacation!!!!

Great place to stay

Jade met us right away and explained everything about the property. She was an easy text away if we needed anything. The property was as described. A short walk to the beach and some great snokeling if you enjoy that activity, Tons of fish, hawksbill turtles and the occasional spotted eagle ray. The pool was secluded and was great for cooling off. The house offers what you need, whether staying there or going out. Close to the park for fish fry on Thursdays, or walk to other nearby restaurants. This was our third trip to the island, but first at this property. Thanks for the nice time!

If you can get in that place, book it right now

This property is as unique as can be on Providenciales. A real time capsule. Everyday we were just blown away at the gardens, the beach and the privacy. If you are into getting your own transportation and agenda and you actually find the place available DO NOT HESITATE and book it. Not a luxurious place but it has everything you need and the experience is really unique. A real beach house with your own beach on Grace Bay on Providenciales. No need to say more. We hope we can make it back there. We have found memories of the place. We travelled the whole island and there is just nothing else like this place. A rare find indeed.

Loved our stay

We arrived a day late, due to airline delays. Beth helped us submit a letter to our insurance for reimbursement. Trip insurance is a good idea! But as to our stay- it was wonderful. The lower floor of the apartment was exactly as pictured and described. Jade gave us a tour and explained everything. We shopped at the IGA, and bought everything we would need for breakfasts and some lunches and dinners. The apartment is steps away from a gorgeous beach and we headed out most days to just enjoy the warm waters and the snorkeling nearby. We ate our first night at Somewhere, the restaurant just down the beach. Great service and friendly people! We didn’t need the A.C., since the fans work so well and the breezes were heavenly. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and make pina coladas. We loved eating on the deck or next to the pool. I snorkeled for hours everyday, then came back and had a great swim in the pool, which is well maintained, clean and in a beautiful setting. Followed by a warm shower in house. The location was perfect for us. We had rented a car and took some short trips to Sapodilla Bay and to Turtle Cove, and went to stroll around Grave Bay hotel and shopping area. Turtle Cove is absolutely wonderful for snorkeling! We only ate out a few times, and used the dining guide on the coffee table to make our choice. We kept saying that this property was absolutely perfect for us! We’d rather spend a longer time in a beautiful place by spending less on the extras, then splurge on expensive meals and have a shorter stay. Some advice: bring some of your own supplies and save money. We brought coffee, and next time would bring a few other things, like boxed wine! Also, buy some rum and a few cans of frozen pina colada mix and have your own cocktails instead of paying so much for them on the beach! One small issue was the security alarm which went off many times one day. That was resolved, and no more problems. We said over and over how much we loved Villa Camilla and would strongly recommend it, except we don’t want it all booked the next time we’d like to stay there!

Highly recommend! Everything was great! Close to everything! Jade was very helpful and groundskeeper was there when needed. Wonderful owners! Can’t wait to go back! Larry K

Fabulous time at Villa Camilla

We had an asbolutely wonderful week at Villa Camilla. The location is amazing, a few steps to a section of Grace Bay Beach that is just far enough away from the resorts to allow for an amazing level of privacy on the beach loungers provided. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool, hammock and other outdoor seating options are terrific. Larry and Beth happened to be there in the main house and were great hosts, and Jade gave us amazing tips on places to go on the island that were truly memorable. The location enables you to just lay on the beach if that's what you want or go exploring the island, as nothing is too far by car. We were sorry to leave and can't wait to go back.
