This ultra modern 3-bedroom beach house has the perfect location - directly across the street from beautiful sandy Samara beach and an easy walk to the cute town of Samara. Located just 330 yards from the beach, Casa Estiyul has 4 storeys. To take full advantage of the stunning beach view, the main living space and the swimming pool are up on the 3rd floor. The master bedroom is on the top - the 4th floor. The panoramic ocean views are spectacular - whether you are lounging on the pool deck, in the saltwater pool, at the outdoor dining room table, or on the deck of the upper master bedroom. Owned by the managing partners of the Samara Reefs gated community, Casa Estiyul is a easy 10 minute walk to the town-center of Samara; from this house going car-less is a great option.
Right out of Architectural Digest, the features of this stunning house include a very private salt-water infinity-edge swimming pool, a large ultra-modern kitchen, a spacious living room and dining room, a very large sundeck, a covered outdoor dining room table. Or, if you prefer, there is an indoor dining room table. The master bedroom is located upstairs on the 4th floor and gets a fantastic view out all 4 directions - there is a stunning view of beautiful beach, the waves, the tiny of island of Isla Chora, but also of the surrounding hillsides and jungle canopy. The two lower bedrooms also have large wraparound decks with great ocean views and have a birds-eye view into the surrounding jungle canopy. From there you can enjoy watching troops of howler monkeys, birds, iguanas, and a huge variety of songbirds. All 3 bedrooms have large sliding glass doors, allowing for cool breezes to flow through. The location is extremely private - it's actually perfect for honeymooners. The gourmet kitchen is spacious and bright with granite counter tops, designer kitchen cabinets, all-stainless steel appliances, and even an air-conditioned walk-in pantry. Next to the kitchen is a large dining room table and beside it is the living room. Open up the doors and enjoy the sound of the surf and the cool ocean breezes. Just open up the double-wide patio doors and your living space is now connected to the large outdoor deck and the swimming pool. Fire up the bbq grill and this spot becomes the best dinner deck in Samara.
From the 3rd and 4th floors, you can hear the surf and enjoy watching kayakers row out to the tiny island of Isla Chora. Unlike most properties this close to town, this house is surrounded by shaded, natural jungle and offers complete privacy from other houses. Mature trees are located throughout the property and give the house complete privacy from both the road and any nearby houses. From your own deck, watch troops of monkeys swinging in the trees below, and watch flocks of squawking parakeets fly by.
All of bedrooms have super-comfortable beds and remote controlled air-conditioning. To increase the airflow, ceiling fans are located in each of the bedrooms as well as in the covered areas of the outside decks.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need: pots, pans, dishes and utensils to make eating at home both convenient and relaxing. There is a covered outside dining table as well as an indoor dining table so, depending on the weather, you can eat inside or al fresco.
Because of safety issues regarding the safety railing around the upper decks, we do not rent to families with children under the age of 7. The railings around the deck are fine for adults but not for small children. For couples or for families with older children, this is truly a magical place where they can enjoy the very best of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Amazing home in Sámara
We loved the house and the entire area. It was perfect for our family, and a great beach for our 6 year old. The home was well equip, beautifully maintained and the entire staff was so kind and helpful!! We loved being at the house swimming, sitting in the shade, listening to the howler monkeys (and occasionally spotting them!). It was a 5 min walk to the beautiful beach and another 10-15 min walk down the beach to the town. The town was small and laid back - filled with great restaurants and places to sip a drink or grab a meal on the beach- also great yoga, low key surfing, horse riding, etc! We took full advantage of the local visitor center which was so helpful in scheduling excursions and generally answering questions. Don't miss La Catrina, Mama Gui, Luv Burger (for smoothies and amazing vegetarian food), and Gustos in town - and venture to Carrillo to Colibri for amazing steaks. We also had a wonderful zip line experience at Wingnuts- which is right next to the house! They were fantastic. We loved it and would love to go back

Wonderful Experience ... want to go back
From start to finish our entire experience was wonderful. Mary-Ellen was always prompt and extremely helpful. A big thank you for your detailed information and recommendations! The home was exactly as depicted in the photos ... except for the view ... it was better! Even the videos I took don't do it justice. Just loved sitting by the pool taking it all in. Great privacy. We enjoyed the easy walk to the beach and town. We didn't rent a car and found it very convenient. Taxis were easy to find and only $5. Loved Samara. Great restaurants both on and off the beach. Don't often return to the same vacation spot (so many places to see) but I would definitely rent Casa Estiyul again.

Great house in perfect location
This house is amazing! Pictures don’t do the view justice. The pool is a great place to unwind in the evening. It’s a short walk to the beach or into town. The recommendations from the owners about where to shop were so helpful and spot on. We shopped in town and cooked dinner at the house a couple nights and had all we needed for a nice meal by the pool. The location is perfect to get to both Playa Samara and Carrillo ( our favorite beach ever). The drive up to Playa Guiones for the sunset is absolutely worth it! We are already planning our next trip back!
