Enjoy a classic New England vacation in this direct lake front home on Harwinton Lake. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and breezes on this quiet lake community. During the summer months swim directly from the backyard, or if you prefer to have company, a one minute walk will take you to the shared community beach. Our home is directly on the water with a spacious yard for barbecuing (Ducane gas grill), sun bathing (lounge chairs provided), swimming, kayaking (one and two person kayak provided), fishing (lake is stocked with trout), or napping in the hammock for 2. Light and bright with wall to wall windows overlooking the water and a cozy wood burning fireplace for romantic evenings. Winter: enjoy ice skating, ice fishing, ski area close by. Amenities: central air/heat, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, Smart TV, linens and towels provided. No noisy gas powered vessels allowed, only canoe, kayak or electric pontoon. Lots of restaurants, antiquing, wine trails, golf, river tubing, Warner Theater for shows, and Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Casinos are within an hour drive. Two Queen beds, one Queen sleeper sofa. Maximum occupancy 4 people. We are a pet friendly property.

Excellent getaway to relax or enjoy CT
We thoroughly enjoyed your cottage. Everything from the cleanliness of your home to the quiet and relaxing lake was excellent. When we weren’t enjoying the home we were enjoying the vineyards, little towns and the area surrounding Harwinton. Great place to enjoy morning coffee on the deck, kayaking on the lake or a home cooked meal in the kitchen (had everything we needed to cook-in). We already talked about spending more time here at your home.

Just time away
We had a great time. Watching the kids fish and our dog wondering what they are catching. We couldnt get enough kayaking in. Your home is beautiful and will be recommending the lake house to others.

Great getaway
This was our 2nd visit and it was better than the first . The geese population was down to zero which was the only issue on our 1st visit. The cottage is beautiful with all the comforts of home.

Lovely break

Relaxing, quit, get away.
My husband and I had the perfect weekend away at this lake house. It’s cute, cozy, clean, comfortable and has everything that you need. It was amazing to be right on the water, such a beautiful view which we enjoyed all day including reading by the water and making s’mores in the fire pit at night. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely be back.

Perfect and relaxing vacation getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Connecticut. The cottage was just as pictured, the lake was beautiful and we enjoyed the peacefulness. We went to Connecticut (day trip to Rhode Island) to check off our 47th and 48th states off the list. We had no idea how beautiful this area would be. Cute towns, tree lined streets, the beginnings of fall colors and scenic routes. We truly were not ready to leave after a week. And we saw two bears (not on the property)! Any type of restaurant or store is available with a short drive - all very convenient.We were a little nervous on Saturday when we arrived. The next door neighbor was having a party with loud music, etc... but we didn't hear a peep out of them the rest of the week. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and wine in the Adirondack chairs in the afternoon by the lake. The size of the cottage was perfect for the two of us, wifi worked well and everything was clean. My husband appreciated the Netflicks. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were of high quality. There were pillows of varying thickness, so it is likely to find one that works for anyone. All in all an absolutely wonderful stay. We would highly recommend and plan to be back!
