NOTHING else this nice at Horseshoe for the price

When I was searching for a cabin to rent at Horseshoe Lake, I came across this and it sounded almost too good to be true. Thankfully I was wrong – it is a GEM! You enter the house through a screened porch that runs the width of the cabin. There’s a swing, 2 rocking chairs, and a large table where we ate all our meals. There’s quite a bit of shade out there on the porch AND a ceiling fan so even in July it was pleasant and we loved being out there. The house has an open floor plan with a good size well-equipped kitchen to your left and the living room with a wall-mounted TV and plenty of COMFORTABLE seating to your right. There were only 2 of us but we did have some friends out for the 4th of July boat parade and fireworks and a cookout and we did not feel crowded at all. In fact, my friends threatened to just stay and sleep in the recliners which are super big and comfy. The bedroom’s got a huge closet and a NICE king size bed. We especially loved the mattress and bedding. The way the cabin is laid out is nice if you have people sleeping in both the bedroom and the living room because you can access the bathroom from either room. The bathroom is all updated like the rest of the house. Everything was immaculate and well-kept. I am picky about this sort of thing and I must say that whoever cleans it does a really nice job. We knew that this cabin would not be right on the water and we would share a pier with the people in the house in front. The people who were there for the 4th were family of the owners and could not have been nicer. The pier was very well equipped. There were all kinds of supplies and water toys that I’m sure we could have used if we’d wanted but we just wanted to relax and swim and watch the amazing sunsets. But I can see families with little ones being just as happy and comfortable at this cabin as my husband and I were. Both of us commented quite a few times throughout our stay that we could not believe how inexpensive yet amazing this place was. There is NOTHING at Horseshoe Lake area as nice as this for this price! It is very well kept and you can tell the owners take pride in the cabin. In some ways I almost don’t even want to share this review because I want this cabin to be available to US when we are ready to come back -- which will be SOON! We just adore Horseshoe Lake and now we have found our perfect home away from home.

A perfect place to get away from it all and relax with the ones you enjoy your time with

Once upon a time in a land far far away, further for he than she. They met for the weekend and had a great time, and recommend this place for thee! The sunsets on the dock were amazing, the sunrises from bed were nice-late nights with the fire pit blazing left early mornings for lazing! The pecans were ripe to reap-but if you jump off the dock, its only 5ft deep. For our hosts our Jack o Lantern will stay, for it's time for us to make way! of this place we shall boast as we drive away from the coast. We tell you to keep the TV off to enjoy the sights and sounds. Your time here will be short, but you should make it just as sweet. Enjoy every moment and treasure the memories made! Kentucky bids is adoo to Little Rock who he did woo! The Duckling is such a charming little place and our hosts couldn't have been nicer! We enjoyed every moment of our 4 days! Comfy bed and great times on the dock! The screened in porch was nice to sit and rock. We enjoyed watching the squirrels play in the pecan tree! I am so glad we found this little treasure!! The time spent there will never be forgotten!!! Thank you for sharing a bit of your paradise with others!!

Clean and neat.

Nice small house kept neat and clean with most everything you need just bring groceries and some charcoal. The lake is great with lots of fish. You should have no need to go to town but if you do you can be in Memphis at Bass Pro in less than an hour.

Beautiful little cabin

Our trip was besieged with bad weather and boat problems but the gorgeous little cabin was surely a bright spot. Great space with everything we needed (except microwave cookware) and lots of extras. Not waterfront but dang close, and the dock was beautiful. A delightful screen porch for coffee in the am or watching the sunset. We will be back

Clean fully equipped access to pier and lake. Very enjoyable stay

Small cabin with air conditioning and fully equipped for a small group of 4. We had lots of fun going out to the pier to fish and swim. You share the pier with the owners and their family. Nice time there. Grilled outside and ate in the screened in porch area. Good deal!

Perfect getaway cabin!

We stayed here March 17 to 20, 2018. This cabin was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The king bed was almost too comfortable (made it difficult to want to get out of it in the mornings). Wilma even let me know when she called that there was a roll-away bed that might be a bit more comfortable than the sofa bed. It didn't matter to the 17 year old, he said the sofa bed was just fine for sleeping on. This was a charming cabin and the short walk to the dock was fine for us. One morning there was even an owl sitting on the tree right outside the front door! We did all of our activities in Memphis Tennessee which was only about a 35 minute drive away.

Extremely clean and cozy.

Everything we needed for a weekend stay. Owners were very helpful and easy to reach. Highly recommended for a quiet get away.

Summer

Stay was great!! We biked 36 miles in 2.5 days! Lake was beautiful!
