PURE HEAVEN!

This was the best vacation my husband and I have ever taken! There was nothing that could’ve made it better. The listing was exactly as owner described. Actually, it was better in my opinion. Fishing was great, location was stunning and those baby eagles...OH MY! ????? She Greeted us as we pulled in, went over everything to make sure there were no problems, informed us of all of the best locations to see wildlife, where to eat, and just plainly made this the most enjoyable, stress free get away that we could ever have asked for. Darlene...you can guarantee that you’ll be seeing us again for sure. We love Montana ????? Thanks sooooo much for a vacation that we’ll NEVER forget!

Great base camp

Great base camp for the Glacier region. The owner is helpful and knowledgable of the area. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Fishing good right on the Flathead River.

Montana adventure was awesome!! What a blessing it was to experience this beautiful land!

It was a dream! I would recommend 100%. Nothing like eating breakfast and watching the birds, squirrels, rabbits, humming birds do their thing and checking in on the eagles nest from the scope at the breakfast table.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

Our stay surpassed our expectations! My husband was very unsure about the idea of staying in a camper, but after our first day he loved it! Darlene really thought through every detail to make sure we felt at home. There was a well supplied kitchen, bear spray, restaurant menus, and tons of resources. We were greeted by rabbits, squirrels, and birds every single morning and evening. Darlene also set up a telescope for us to watch 2 baby eagles and their mother across the river. The place was clean, and the bed was so comfy! It truly was a slice of heaven. We spent most of our days inside Glacier National Park, and were grateful for the short drive to the park, without actually staying IN the busy park. You will be glad to stay in Hungry Horse instead of Kalispell, as it is farther away. This area has so much to offer and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Darlene, for all you did to make our stay amazing.

Nice Stay!

We really enjoyed our recent trip to Glacier National Park, and our stay at the camper in Hungry Horse was just perfect for us. Getting to view the bald eagle parents and babies across the river through the binoculars was so special.

Hungry Horse trip

The RV was very comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need. The grounds and the view were beautiful! The property was located close to stores and everything that we wanted, and was a very drivable distance to Glacier National Park. Darlene was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed watching the eaglets in their nest, and overall it was an amazing trip!

Perfect Location!

Darlene has thought of everything you may need from a hair dryer to bear spray. The hummingbirds, rabbits, and squirrels at the feeder were very entertaining. If ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here.

Lovely Location

We enjoyed our stay in Hungry Horse. We stayed in a cute RV travel trailer that overlooked the Flathead River. The trailer was big enough for myself and My husband. The trailer had a small well stocked kitchen, dining booth with windows looking out at the bird feeders. There is a telescope there to observe the eagles nest across the water. Comfortable bed and a bathroom and shower. Best of all, the trailer was about 15/20 minutes to the Western Entrance of Glacier National Park! Also a short distance to Columbia Falls for shopping and restaurants. The owner Darlene was very helpful in explaining details relative to the trailer. My husband enjoyed fly fishing in the river. We had a great time and recommend this comfortable trailer for two!

Great place, beautiful area

Darlene is easy to work with. The RV is very clean. Very peaceful location overlooking a beautiful river. The RV has great information on hikes and other things in the area. Also includes bear spray, which will save you $100 if you’re going to hike. Very convenient to the west side of Glacier National Park. Be prepared to drive slightly over two hours if you’re going to Many Glacier, just get up early and know that it is a gorgeous drive. It is an RV, so expect slight inconveniences (e.g., short doorway to bathroom, short bed) if you are tall. Would definitely stay there again!

Beauty, peace and quiet

We just had the most amazing and enjoyable week-long stay at this Hungry Horse location. Darlene, our host, was so gracious and helpful every step of the way. The RV is beautiful, clean and spacious. It is located only about 8 miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park. Darlene has a wealth of books about the area for guest use. She makes great suggestions as to places to eat and things to do. She even provides bear spray if you want to carry it. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous river and so peaceful.
