We are located within 10 minutes of Cheticamp and Le Portage Golf Course, 15 minutes to the entrance of Cape Breton Highlands Park and 30 minutes from Cabot Cliffs golf course. Enjoy stunning views of the ocean, and spectacular sunsets from every room or the sundeck. Stroll down to the beach lookout point which offers vistas of Cape Breton’s rugged coastline and access to the beach, where its possible to swim and kite surf.
Flooded with natural light, this modern home is packed full of comforts including an open concept entertainment kitchen, 9 foot ceilings, WiFi, a 43 inch smart TV with sattelite cable, and a washer and dryer All bedrooms feature ocean views, while the master bedroom as a king-size bed, a walk in closet and ensuite bathroom.
Outside you'll find a spacious west-facing sundeck along with chairs, outdoor recliners and a propane fire pit to enjoy as the sun goes down and the star gazing time begins.
Located in the picturesque oceanside community of Point Cross, our vacation home is just a 5 -10 minute scenic drive to the shops, restaurants and Le Portage Golf Course in Cheticam, which is known for its fresh lobster, crab and cod. The location also makes for an excellent base camp for those interested in driving the famous Cabot Trail or playing golf at Cabot Cliffs, which is 35 minutes to the south. We are located about 30 minutes from Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Summary of Things TO Do in the area:
1. Hike the famous Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy dramatic headland cliffs overlooking the rugged coast from the end of this level trail. You can enjoy an eagle's view of the Cabot Trail as it winds its way down the mountain.
2. Enjoy whale watching and coastal tours offered by local operators. Watch for whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the viewing decks. Moose, bald eagles, bears and numerous boreal birds live here.
3. Enjoy live Celtic and Fiddle music at the Doryman Pub and Grill and Le Gabriel restaurants (just 10 min away).
4. Le Portage 18-Hole Golf Course. Tee off beneath the Cape Breton Highlands.
5. Museum/Gallery/Cultural Center -- At Les Trois Pignons heritage center you can dive into Acadian culture and the history of Chéticamp, view an impressive collection of tapestries, rare hook rugs and antiques. There is also a genealogy resource centre.
6. Hike to the swimming hole at the Cheticamp Gypsum quarry. This is a short hike on an established trail/ ATV track that leads you to a beautiful, secret swimming spot near Cheticamp.
7. Swimming at Cheticamp Island Beach. Drive down Cheticamp island road and stop and park at sand dunes.

Absolutely wonderful property
The house was modern, spotless and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities to make you feel at home. Add an incredible view of the ocean, and total privacy and you have a premiere property! I am a picky traveler who expects a lot, and this home met my expectations. In fact, we cancelled another inn to stay here an extra day. The owner is very nice, organized and most helpful!

Paradise on the Gulf
Michael's place is a perfect spot to call home for a few days or longer. Spotless, well- equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, spectacular view/sunsets. Convenient to Chedicamp and the hiking trails. Highly recommend staying here!!
