Description
Condo, 2 Bedrooms w/ Queen Beds + Queen Sofa Bed, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Quote from my Guest Book: 'Beautiful and relaxing holiday! Your condo looked beautiful on the internet and was pleasantly surprised that it was even nicer once here...wonderful holiday!' (Coquitlam, BC)
Nestled just 15 minutes outside of Banff, this tastefully decorated, 1,000 sq. ft., two-bedroom, two-bath condominium features a large formal entry way, a bright, open lounge and dining area boasting hardwood floors, river rock gas fireplace with log mantle, leather sofa set, Canadian heritage antiques, 'rustic' decorative lamps, original mountain artwork, and Mackenzie tartans throughout. There is also a deck that provides spectacular views of the protected wetlands, Aspens, creek and surrounding peaks, including the famous 'Three Sisters.'
The building is located across from a protected wetland habitat, at the edge of Policeman's Creek with meandering boardwalk. With unobstructed views of pretty much nature only, you get the feeling of wilderness seclusion, yet are only a less than 2 minute walk from conveniences of the quaint, yet cultural alpine town of Canmore.
In the living room for your relaxation and entertainment are a television with basic cable, VCR, stereo system, and CD player. And the balcony off of the living room not only provides spectacular trees, creek and mountain views, it also provides a teak bistro set, and a large gas barbecue to fire up that world famous Alberta beef!
The large, fully-equipped, modern kitchen contains tiled floors, dishwasher, microwave, a refrigerator, and cupboards stocked with various condiments, cookbooks, and just about every tool the gourmet chef in you would need to create a fabulous meal.
The spacious, yet cozy master bedroom contains a queen-size bed with rustic log headboard and two closets, while the second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and one large closet. In addition, there is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room, allowing for a maximum occupancy of six people (rates based on four-person occupancy). Both bedrooms contain high-quality eyelet lace bed sheets, duvets and pillows, as well as vintage bedroom furniture, 'rustic' decorative lamps, original mountain artwork, Mackenzie tartan throw pillows and scarves, and plush berber carpet. The master en suite contains a shower stall, while the second bathroom located in the hallway contains a bathtub/shower combination - quality towels provided in each.
The hallway contains a built-in bookshelf brimming with various paperback books and hard cover coffee table books featuring Canadian and Rocky Mountain art, all of which can be enjoyed while taking in the fresh mountain air on the balcony by day, or cozying up next to the warm fire at night. Also provided for your enjoyment with friends and family are various board games and decks of cards.
The condominium has a large storage room containing a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, a picnic knapsack (to take on hikes), fans, first aid kit, and various cleaning supplies. Also provided for your convenience is a heated underground garage.
Tasteful rustic, Canadian heritage decor and high-end comfort have been given priority at Mackenzie Creekside. The original mountain artwork done by the owner and her father as well as other Alberta artists, in additional to the Mackenzie tartans and Canadian heritage family photos, help to create a sense of 'home-away-from-home' beckoning you to return to Mackenzie Creekside to visit the majestic Canadian Rockies...

Stunning and Cozy
We absolutely loved this beautiful condo in Canmore. It's walking distance to both nature and the downtown boutique village. It had everything we needed and we also felt like we were at a home away from home. Truly perfect!

Perfect location-nice home base for parks
We really enjoyed our stay here. There's enough space for a family and all conveniences are there. The location is ideal since the main street of shops and restaurants is right around the corner. All contact with the owner was smooth and timely. A washer/dryer was important to us so that we wouldn't have to pack as many clothes for our trip and they worked properly. The only minor complaint is that we had to keep the windows open the entire time and we would smell smoke and hear loud talking/yelling from the downstairs bar. This isn't the owner's fault and there are fans in the condo, but it was hot and there's no AC. We found that this was the most economical choice in the area, and the pros outweighed this one con. We would stay again. Thank you.

Nice home to enjoy a beautiful vacation.
We recently enjoyed the accommodations at McKenzie's Creekside with another couple. The condo worked perfectly for the four of us to base from for a short week. We had toured Jasper National Park on our way in, then enjoyed our stay there to visit Banff National Park and the towns of Banff and Canmore. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cleaning supplies. We grilled one meal on the deck but mostly enjoyed the area restaurants. We did like the privacy to wind down each evening in our own home with cards or TV. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area. Thanks for sharing your condo with us!

very cozy
thanks for sharing your condo with us for Thanksgiving. It was the perfect spot to use to visit Banff. It was also nicely decorated and had all the things we needed for the weekend.

Great Location
We had a great stay. The condo was very quiet. A great location, across the street from a fabulous recreation center, a block and half from downtown, and about two blocks from the grocery store. Lots of walking trails that were very easily accessed from the condo. We won't hesitate staying there again.

Fun stay in Canmore over the holidays
Our family found Canmore town charming with Christmas lights, a caroling church service, along with New Years Eve music & fireworks. The condo has all the amenities you need, with great views off the porch, and a short walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. We spent our days downhill skiing at Sunshine and Lake Louise, walking around town (beautiful path along the Bow River), and hiking up to the Nordic Center for some cross-country (which also has bus service to/from town). Thanks Leanne for a great stay!

Summer Family Vacation
We visited from Texas in mid June. Great location in Canmore and close to Banff. Lots of fun things to do for the family in the area. The 2 bed/2bath layout was a great size for us. Great family trip with lots of good memories!

Convenient and comfortable
My husband and I stayed here with our two children and had plenty of space. Canmore is a nice town itself with shops, trails, restaurants, and a recreation center, We enjoyed walking around town, and the kids loved the climbing wall at the recreation center across the street. Banff was a short drive from the condo, so the location was very convenient to our activities. The condo itself was very clean, and we appreciated being able to wash our clothes so we didn’t have to pack as much. All Interactions with the owner were great, and the check in process was extremely easy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo.
Ice Skate Competition Detour
Hard to find underground parking garage entrance, but once located, enjoyed our quick visit. The condo had everything you need for a home away from home. We loved using the grill. Cheaper than staying directly in Banff and still had plenty of shops and eateries available. Did what we most wanted to do in our short stay. A great base...thankful for the huge fan as it was WARM (no AC).
