Description
This truly unique seasonal cottage has lots to offer and is the perfect viewing area for gorgeous sunsets on the lake! A new and expansive deck has been added Spring 2014 to provide even more lakeside enjoyment.
Cuba Lake is a family friendly, serene, and active 450 acre lake. The house has earned the nickname of The Crooked Cottage as is does have some rolling floors which only add to its immense charm.
In addition to the newly installed, spacious deck overlooking the lake, the cottage has a dock which will accommodate your boat.
The sleeping accommodations easily allow for 6 people to sleep upstairs in a loft type arrangement. There is also a den on the main level which can be used as an additional bedroom which sleeps two.

Summer Escape
Cuba is my hometown so I love to go there at least once a year.Usually in the middle of July but I hate imposing on family so this time around we decided to get this charming house on the lake with some friends. The dock was amazing,with steps leading into the tapering waters edge. We arrived at about 3 am and were welcomed by a huge glowing moon in the beautiful bay window of the den. We gazed off into the shimmering silvery water and knew it was going to be an awesome weekend.John,the owner was very accommodating and gracious and that's always a huge plus.We had cable,internet,a grill,and 2 tables on the enormous deck.The neighbors were super sweet and the view was perfect with rolling hills across the lake that look like they came out of a fairytale.We were more than pleased and look forward to coming back next year.
We had a great time and plan to return!
The Crooked Cottage had everything we needed for a weekend stay with our little ones. Our host, John, disclosed everything to us ahead of time so we knew what to expect. The house is very imperfect, there's no getting around that. But it was perfect for us and at a price you can't beat. ITS RIGHT ON THE LAKE! We were able to swim and canoe and fish right there. It was wonderful. Is the water in the house orange and stinky? Yes. Is there A/C. No. Are the floors crooked and fixtures outdated? Yes. Is it difficult to find and park? A little. But we knew exactly what to expect and that's why I'm leaving a 5 star review. John is very responsive to messages. If you need to ask if you if should bring this or that...just ask ahead of time. Spend time exploring Cuba and the lake. It's what it's all about!

a stay at crooked cottage
This cottage has a lot of personality! It has an open floor plan, plenty of room, wonderful neighborhood, and relaxing stay! A wonderful quiet stay and hope to go back again!
