Welcome to Villa Silva Mare at Ocean Forest, the crown jewel of Sunset Playa Vacation Rentals , a brand new, professionally decorated, beautiful, and luxurious, five bedroom, beachfront pool house, situated next to the Wyndham Rio Mar Resort and overlooking idyllic Las Picuas beach in Rio Grande.
From the first moment you enter the house, you will be captivated by all the attention to detail in making Silva Mare, one of Puerto Rico's best and most luxurious beachfront vacation rentals. Everything has been selected of the utmost quality to work in harmony with its natural setting, yet keeping it true to its relaxed beach nature.
Silva Mare is located in Rio Grande, on the northeast side of Puerto Rico, next to Rio Mar resort in a secure, gated, residential complex called Ocean Forest . It will take you only about 30 minutes to get there from Puerto Rico's main airport, Luis Muñoz Marin International,
Silva Mare is completely beachfront with direct access to beautiful Las Picuas Beach thru a private gate.
Also, Silva Mare has two floors. On the upper level there are two masters with king beds and ensuite bathrooms, each with its own private terrace with magical views of the ocean, beach and pool. One of them also has a second terrace with grand views of El Yunque National Rainforest, therefore the name of the complex , Ocean Forest.
The first floor has 3 bedrooms and 2,5 baths. These are distributed as you enter the house as follows:
1 To the right, a bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bathroom
2 To the left, one bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds sleeping 4, and a Jack and Jill bathroom connecting this to another bedroom with queen bed.
Silva Mare can comfortably accommodate 12 people in total so is perfect for larger groups or extended family gatherings.
All rooms and common areas have ac. However, opening the doors and windows create such wonderful cross ventilation, along with the soothing sound of the waves, that you will hardly want to turn them on.
We also have free high speed wireless internet and cable tv.
Downstairs, you will find a large size kitchen with island and everything you might need to cook a gourmet meal.
The kitchen, dining room and family share an open concept layout with unbelievable views of the terrace, pool, and beach. The family room also has a large flat screen tv for all the family to watch your favorite movies or games.
Multiple french doors open from here to the terrace and pool.
This area is furnished with large comfortable furniture for you to unwind after your busy beach or exploring days.
Villa Silva mare is also equipped with back up power generator and water cistern, very important in the tropics for uninterrupted power and water after tropical systems.
Finally, there is an outdoor half bath, grill, and exterior shower.
Silva Mare provides a superb setting for a wonderful beach vacation. However, it also provides a great base to explore Puerto Rico.
Just a short walk away lies The Wyndham Rio Mar Resort. It has two beautiful golf courses, restaurants, bar, casino and spa.
In addition, El Yunque National rainforest is only 10 minutes away by car. This is a must visit.
Such is also Fajardo, where you can take a boat excursion to the enchanting eastern islands of Puerto Rico.
Fajardo too, has one of the few bioluminescent bays in the world.This makes for a great night excursion.
Just 5 minutes away is Hacienda Carabalí. They give horse and atm tours, have a go kart track, and a good restaurant with beautiful views of the coast.
For avid golfers, we have three great golf courses to play , all within a 20 minute drive. These are RioMar, Bahia, and Conquistador.
A trip to San Juan is also mandatory. Mingle thru the cobblestone streets, check out the majestic castles, do a little shopping, and then relax in one of its many high quality restaurants. There are also plenty of nearby excellent restaurants when you do not feel like cooking. We will provide you a list of these as well of a few restaurants in San Juan worthy of the short trek.
Finally, we are here to serve you and can arrange anything from daily housekeeping, cook, butler and or private excursions.

Spectacular
This property was spectacular. We could lot be happier. Location was great, beautiful property with some awesome spaces and great amenities. Check in process was very chill. Wife actually wanted to change reservations and stay longer. I stayed with family and my sisters’s family for total of 12 and we fit very comfortably. Only negative was lack of beach chairs but that’s just to add a negative.
Highly Recommended.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely Perfect
This place is heaven. We had a great time with friends and family. The Villa was beautiful, everything was very clean, we had a gift basket on our arrival, the pool is salt water, everything worked fine, bathrooms were prepared with everything we needed, kitchen was awesome!! We couldn't ask for anything more. It was very sad that we went on a weekend a storm was passing nearby and the beach was very dangerous, but that is not the Villa's fault. Although it was a storm weekend we didn't receive almost any rain and the days were perfect. I recommend this place 120%. It is absolutely beautiful and comfy. The only thing we had a small issue was with the internet. We couldn't get it to work until the day before. Everything else was awesome. Thank you!!
