Welcome to Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club, the most spectacular resort in Puerto Rico. As soon as you enter our gates you can tell right away this place is different. Situated at the foot of El Yunque (the only rainforest in the U.S. forest system), the lushness of the former coconut plantation immediately hits you and you can clearly see why Bahia Beach has been designated an Audubon International Gold Sanctuary and is one of the most unique properties in the entire Caribbean.
With 2 miles of secluded ocean-front beach and sprawling lakes over its 400-plus acres, Bahia Beach is unique in that it allows you to enjoy both saltwater and freshwater recreational activities. Come to the boathouse (a very short walk from our villa), where you can take a kayak or paddle-board out for a spin and get a unique, up-close look at the beautiful flora and fauna of Puerto Rico.
When you get back to the Boathouse, grab a fishing pole and try your luck at catching a Tarpon, Snook, Jack or one of the many other species of fish in our well stocked lakes (all catch and release of course). Afterwards, you can take a bicycle from the boathouse and explore one of the beautiful and peaceful nature trails on the property. Better yet, take a guided nature tour arranged through The Nature Center, also located at the Boathouse.
Is golf on the agenda? Then you are going to love this place! Forget your clubs? No problem, just head over to the Golf Clubhouse and they will take care of all your golfing needs. Robert Trent Jones outdid himself when he designed his first golf course in Puerto Rico. With El Yunque as a backdrop and a lush coconut tree forest surrounding you, it’s just you, the ball and some of the most beautiful landscape you can imagine. The Back Nine is simply stunning, with holes 17 and 18 wrapping up the day in spectacular ocean-front fashion. After a fantastic round of golf, head over to The Beach Club (next to the Golf Clubhouse) for a celebratory round of drinks (and eats) and let the friendly staff take care of you while you overlook Bahia Beach and the Atlantic Ocean – a true “19th Hole” experience.
Is tennis more your game? Then head over to our hard-court tennis facility (located next to the Sales Center). We currently have 4 courts (2 lighted) so you can pretty much count on having a court available when you want (reservations are still recommended). Need to work on your game? Take a lesson with our fantastic tennis pro.
Exhausted yet? Head over to the Spa for some well-deserved pampering and relaxation in one of the massage villas – steam, sauna, and hot and cold plunges round out this amazing experience.
When you are ready for a true fine dining experience, you don’t have to go far. Just make a reservation at Paros. With an eclectic mixture of international and Mediterranean flavors combined with the freshest ingredients, Paros is sure to satisfy any palette.
LA ISLA DEL ENCANTO
Bahia Beach is perfectly situated to enjoy many of the attractions that Puerto Rico has to offer. Located just 25 minutes east of San Juan, you are only 15 minutes from the El Yunque Rainforest. Just a little further east takes you to the town of Fajardo, where you can take one of the famous Bio-luminescent Bay tours or take a ferry to one of Puerto Rico’s beautiful “little islands”, Vieques and Culebra.
If you are ready for some city life, head west about 25-30 minutes to San Juan where you can enjoy the charms of Old San Juan and top it off with a night on the town at one of San Juan’s many first-class Hotel-Casino establishments in Condado or Isla Verde.

When you are ready to finally relax back “home”, a luxurious 3 bedroom – 3 bathroom villa awaits you. With a panoramic view of our largest lake and hole #8, relax on your balcony as you watch golfers and kayakers alike enjoy nature and the most beautiful resort setting in Puerto Rico. This is truly one of the best views in all of Bahia Beach.
Our villa consists of a Master bedroom with a spacious en-suite bath complete with a king-sized bed. Our guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed and our large Children’s Suite consists of 4 Full-Size beds (2 full-size bunks). A fully equipped kitchen, dining, family, and laundry room along with 2 more full bathrooms complete this spacious villa of around 2,000 sq ft.
LA PLAYA
But what about the beach? No, we did not forget about the main reason you probably came to the Caribbean in the first place: The Beach.
Bound by the crystal clear Espiritu Santo River to the east and the town of Loiza to the west, 2 miles of soft-sand beach await you to satisfy all your “beachcomber” needs. Take a leisurely stroll along the water’s edge as you look over the blue-green water and come back with your hands full of sea shells and sand dollars.
While on your stroll, you may have noticed small areas of the beach that have been roped off (March – May). These are where the famous leatherback sea-turtles have come to lay their eggs. These are the “stars of the show” here in Bahia. There can easily be 15-20 of these nests in any given season. If you are staying with us between June and August, you may be lucky enough to witness the hatching of these amazing creatures. Our onsite Marine Biologist, Marcela, usually will let us know within a few hours of when these hatchlings will appear. My family has thoroughly enjoyed these “Discovery Channel” moments.
After a day at the beach you can take a dip in or relax by our lovely pool, which sits right in front of our villa.
RESORT FEES AND AMENITIES:
The new Resort Fees now gives you complete access to all the amenities in Bahia Beach, which include:
1. The new Member Only Pool (pictured above)
2. The new Member Only Gym (pictured above)
3. The Member Only Beach Club (towels, chairs, etc.)
4. The Las Verandas Pool (in front of our villa, pictured above)
5. The St. Regis Hotel Pool
6. The Nature Center/Boathouse (includes use of the kayaks, canoes, bikes, fishing poles, etc.)
7. The Tennis Courts
In other resorts, you typically pay a resort fee for your stay plus extra for the amenities you use, like the gym, activities (bikes, kayaks, etc.). Here, you pay the resort fees and it includes all of this....very convenient!
The only thing the resort fees does not include is the new beach club activity center (operated by a third party) that operates the surfing, kite surfing, and windsurfing amenities.
As part of your stay you also have access to our golf cart (4 seater) free of charge.

What a great place to stay! The resort is beautiful with so much to do. My husband and 3 girls ages 11,13 and 16 stayed here recently for our Spring Break. The kids had so much fun and especially loved the golf cart. We loved the villa and had so much room. It's right on the golf course with a great view. We did rent a car which was helpful to go out on excursions and to get to the resort from the airport. It was only about a 30-40 minute drive. You will not be disappointed in this villa!
