In a recently renovated monumental building on Pietermaai 18, the Beach House Pietermaai is located directly on the sea with lots of peace and privacy. But also in the middle of the charming historic Pietermaai district in the heart of Willemstad (world heritage Unesco) and a few minutes' walk from the center of Punda with many shops, the ferry bridge and harbor, the floating fruit market and the reef fort with, among other things, a Starbucks.
The Beach House (85m2 and 150m2 of outdoor space), with terraces and beach around the pool, is wonderfully quiet and has plenty of privacy. The 10 by 3.5 meter swimming pool overlooks the sea and is only accessible and private to the guests of the beach house. From the jetty by the sea you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets and watch the (cruise) ships entering and leaving the harbor.
The Beach House has a professional kitchen with a cooking island, dishwasher, oven, large American fridge / freezer with ice maker, smoothie blender and Nespresso machine + a washing machine. And do you want to prepare a delicious meal yourself? The sea view is included! The large dining table on the terrace is surrounded by comfortable Dedon chairs.
A Sonos music system, smart TV in living room and bedroom and a well-stocked bookcase with Dutch and English literature are available.
At the pool are beach beds with wonderfully thick Smooff mattresses with handy towel covers and you will find various seating areas and a hammock. A concrete bbq stands at the lounge corner of the swimming pool.
The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with 2 rain showers, double sinks, hairdryer and large fitted mirrors. You sleep in a cool four-poster bed with a sea view. The bedroom has a smart TV, silent air conditioning, ceiling fan, a walk-in closet and separate toilet.
The house is suitable for 2 adults and a maximum of 2 children, who can sleep on the comfortable sofa bed (1.80 m wide) in the living room, which also has an air conditioner. A baby cot is also available.
Large hammam beach towels, a cool box and beach bag are ready for a day at the beach to for example the beautiful Cas Abao beach.
The Beach House Pietermaai exudes an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury, with a light trendy beach style design. A sturdy and robust kitchen (concrete and monumental authentic wood), concrete floors, classic ceilings with decorative moldings and high original ceilings, furnished with romantic comfortable (flea and beach style) furniture and accessories.
In some places the original structures of this monumental building have been left intact, which gives an attractive combination of historical and new elements. A large part of the building dates from the beginning of the 19th century and has several monumental dormer windows with a triangular top field with 19th-century top termination.
Enjoy plenty of privacy and tranquility, from the swimming pool or hammock from the spectacular view of the sea. you see the cruise ships, sailboats, fishing boats and motor yachts pass by and sometimes even dolphins swim by. A view that never bores.

- Currency: Local currency is NAF (Netherlands Antillean Florin) or ANG (Antillean Guilder), which is accepted everywhere along with the US dollar, along with most well-known credit cards.
On the local market, USD 1 = 1.75 NA florin. Each ATM gives US dollars or the Antillean guilder. Make sure you put your debit card on World Coverage!
Languages: Dutch is the official language. The inhabitants also speak English, Spanish and their own unique mix, Papiamentu.
-Electricity: Beach House Pietermaai has 220 volts, European sockets and also 110 volts for American plugs. No adapter plugs required.
