Stupendous cottage!

This cottage is amazing! Private, spacious, beautiful surroundings with an outdoor shower! The pictures don't do it justice! The living area has lots of room. The kitchen has lots of counter space to work at and is easy to move around. The bed is comfortable. You are on solar power, so no TV (except to play DVDs) and no hair dryers. But who wants to watch TV when you have all of this nature surrounding you! There is even a compost bucket (and bin out back) to use, so you are really "off the grid"! The view is outstanding. On a clear day (which we didn't have) you should be able to see the volcanoes on the Big Island! And the landscaping is wonderful! Anya works hard to maintain this paradise. And if you are lucky there will be fresh fruit; bananas, papayas, avocadoes... This cottage is beyond Hana, beyond 'Ohe'o Gulch and the Pipiwai Trail, just before Lindbergh's grave. It is off the main road less than a mile and was a bit tricky to get to the first time, but it is manageable with a compact car. The road from Hana to the cottage is a bit trickier with one lane bridges and switchbacks than the road to Hana from Kahului. But it is worth the drive. We would come back again and again. The 7 Sacred pools, the Pipiwai trail, Hamoa beach are all worthwhile visiting, or just relax and enjoy the cottage. You won't regret it!

After reading through so many entries of folks who have stayed, I am sure you are used to comments of thanks and praise. However, I would like to thank you for not only the wonderful accommodations, but for keeping such an amazing place "so affordable". We are grateful for the beautiful place that did not require us to "break the bank". We felt like millionaires and hope to be back soon.
