Located in Hamburg Township, Strawberry Lake is one of the most beloved on the Huron Chain of Lakes. You will love the beauty and calm of of our amazing lakefront vacation home. The deck is a perfect spot to watch the boats go by. Take the boat out for a cruise down the Huron River and 6 adjoining Lakes. It's so much fun to explore the lakes, and jumping off the pontoon (or your own boat) to swim, is a great way to cool off and relax. (Pontoon available with 4 kayaks for extra fee)
For those who enjoy cooking on vacation, we have a well equipped kitchen and a propane gas barbque on the deck. The kitchen, dinining area overlook the lake, so you wont miss the views while cookingl
If you want to roast some hotdogs, there's a fire pit by the lake. There are nice chairs surrounding the fire pit, for your convience.
A trip to Zukey Lake Travern is a must on Wednesday nights, order one of their large speciality pizza's and get a free tee shirt.
We also have a variety of bikes available for making use of the Lakeland Trails, just 1/2 mile from our place.
Our bedrooms are set up to make sure you are comfortable, soft sheets and a variety of pillows are offered. Each room has an extra set of sheets and blankets in case you should need them. The main bedroom is large enough for serveral grandchildren to use the twin air mattresses, for a special over night with the grandparents.Children love the main bathroom's large spa type shower and the large jetted tub. It's a great way to end the day for both adults and children! The twin bed room, has a floor mattress, that slides out easily for the extra child.
The middle bedroom is a queen sized mattress, that is extra soft. All bedrooms have a ceiling fan to help lure you to sleep after a full day of fun.
The fireplace room, or conversation room, is great for a quiet place to read or converse. It also serves as a extra sleeping area. We have a sofa bed, that pulls out an full sized air mattress. Also a queen sized air mattress is available, for more guests. The livingroom has two leather couches, which are also nice as extra sleeping spaces.
September is still warm, fishing and boating is even more relaxing! October is a great time for campfires and fishing. The lake is quiet Our kayaks are available and a trip down the gentle Huron River is the perfect way to see the fall foliage.
Our convenient location makes our home a great central meeting place for family to enjoy Special occasions. If you have a special event, let us know and we will let you know how others have managed parking and tent set up.
Our lot is large, so we provide a wagon to bring toys,life jackets, firewood and food back and forth from the house. Children love our large sandbox located close to the water. Hauling water up to the sand box, keeps children busy for hours. Our deck has two tables, many large wicker styled chairs to relax on and a table for six outside meals.
Our kitchen and living room are open and face the lake, giving you beautiful views. Our home is fully equipped to provide a wonderful vacation for you and your family or friends. In the early morning get up to enjoy the sun rising over the lake. It's beautiful. During the day boating on the lakes is so fun. Enjoy the pontoon boat or take the kayaks out for the day. In the evening, a campfire is a must, roast hotdogs and sing songs. After,go for late night ride to experience the starry night and the full moon, its so relaxing...
If you want to explore all of the lakes, we have maps of each lake and directions for you. If you have GPS on your phone, this will work on the river and lakes and is quite interesting to use. What to do, when you're not on the lake???: For your dining pleasure, you can boat to Zukey Lake Tavern. It is appropriate for the entire family, and There are many wonderful other dining experiences within a 5 mile radius, just head to M-36 and go in either direction.
For the Golfer, there are ten public courses within ten miles, My favorite places are the Links At Whitmore Lake and Whispering Pines Golf Course. The Links is very reasonable and offers an unique golfing experience.
For the shopper or movie buff, head into Ann Arbor or Brighton there are malls and resale shops everywhere! Visit the small twon of Hamburg, which features a small deli, town pup and a Hamburg museum. Make sure you look up the museum for their days open.(It changes by season)
Fall and Winter on the Chain: The Huron River Chain of Lakes in the fall is beautiful. The abundant wildlife is easier to see, and the flocks of birds heading north overhead is amazing. In November (late fall) the river is a popular place for duck, cranes and deer to visit. There are also many local school plays during the school year that are quite professional and craft markets abound.
Football fans travel here to attend the nearby football games at the University of Michigan, they enjoy the peace and quiet at the end of the day!
We like to decorate the house for the holidays, so your family photos will be complete with a decorated tree. After dinner relax around the gas fireplace for coffee and conversation with those you love. Please call if you have any special needs to make your holiday special and complete!

Rental Notes
Summer rentals are weekly only and the pontoon boat and kayaks are included in the total cost. The cost of the Summer 2019 season is 2900 for a week. The cleaning fee is included in the summer rental. All other seasons, the cost is $200.00/ over 8 people cleaning fee increases to 250. Football weekends are an extra 50.00 a night.
beautiful anniversary getaway
I stayed at this pinckney lake house and celebrated my 30th anniversary. My Husband and I loved our time by the lake! we canoed, basked in the sun, and cooked a scrumptious dinner in the houses lovely kitchen. It was very Romantic time! our kids came to visit and enjoyed swimming and exploring the lake, although there was enough room for them to stay we kicked them out to enjoy the spacious house to ourselves. I would definitely suggest this house to a family, you can canoe or drive to the famous zukey lake tavern. this was a great getaway, thank you to the owners! we had a wonderful time.... I recommend this house, its a really beautiful place!

Great home, great views, great times!
This is a great home to simply relax in and enjoy the Michigan summers. The kitchen is huge and the bedrooms are spacious as well. The hardwood floors and tile throughout the house are really nice for the summer and the floor to ceiling windows make it feel like you're always on the lake. In the afternoon/evenings, the sun shines from behind the deck, so you can kick back and enjoy the view of Strawberry Lake in total comfort. The house is in great condition and is situated near the end of a quiet street. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a retreat!

Family Getaway
We had a great time on Strawberry Lake. The house is at a perfect location on the chain of lakes. The house is beautifully decorated and is very cozy. I love the deck and has alot of room to entire a large party. Rob and Marian were very hospitable with fresh flowers and left us cake from their family party. The house is equipped with all necessities! Our young kids loved it with the huge sand box by the lake and the fishing. They caught lots of fish not far from the dock. We used the pontoon daily and went thru alot of gas. Pizza was fabulous at Zukey lake tavern! Neighbors were very friendly. Would love to spend time with the family again! Awesome place!

Magical Wedding Location
This beautiful home was the location for our lakefront wedding! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot to say, "I Do!" Robert and Marian were more than helpful. They made sure the house looked wonderful and helped with the planning of our special day. Boats ventured up during our ceremony to look on as we exchanged vows, and many offered a "toot" of their horn as we were pronounced husband and wife. After the ceremony, our friends and families shared in our special day with a backyard barbeque. We received much praise from our guests about how perfect our location was. Many said this was the best wedding they had ever attended!! Our week continued after our magical wedding with beautiful morning views and daily trips out on the boat and kayaks. We swam, fished, kayaked, went boating, and shared countless family memories during our stay at this beautiful home. We are looking forward to our return trip to this home!

Wonderful Place to Spend Thanksgiving!!
We spent Thanksgiving here to visit our daughter ( a UMich student) and go to the football game on Sat. Robert is easy to work with and responds quickly to all questions. The pictures of this house do not do it justice! It is roomy, has a good layout for privacy and is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is the best stocked in any vacation house we have ever rented and we were able to cook a full holiday dinner no problem! The deck facing the lake is huge (although we didn't use it) and would be a great hangout in the summer. I would definitely rent here again. Just hope no one beats me to it for Thanksgiving of 2017! Great Place! Great Time! The pictures do not do it justice!
The pictures of this rental do NOT do it justice! It is a beautiful place on a great chain of serene inlets and lakes. It is at the end of a quiet street in a quaint area. The entire place has high ceilings for an airy atmosphere. The master bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom shower is newly remodeled and the one of the best showers I've ever been in. We rented the cabin to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, but we would love to come back and bring our family for vacation. We rented this place the day before our check-in date. The owners were very responsive to our inquiries and readily available to help get us checked in on time. They were very accommodating, warm, and organized. The place has many amenities including a pontoon (separate fee, but the price was fair and totally worth it...cruising through the lakes and inlets was true R&R), kayaks, life jackets in all sizes, fire pit by the water, huge spanning backyard, nice patio furniture, jetted tub...Lastly, the location was a perfect drive to Ann Arbor, where we took in a U of M football game. We enjoyed taking the back roads into the city to miss the traffic...very scenic drive and about 30 minutes. This place really made our weekend special and we will definitely consider coming back! Peaceful retreat
Lovely home! Laid out perfectly for a couple guests or many! Beautiful view of the lake and a big deck to watch the birds. Everything you need is provided! Slept good in the comfy bed.

This home is at an ideal location for easy access to Detroit airport, as well as Ann Arbor. Home is much larger than anticipated, and fully stocked for any basic need. Unbelievable view of Strawberry Lake! We will be back!

Great accommodations for family gathering
Spacious, comfortable, warm & welcoming home that accommodated our family for Christmas week. Owners were responsive to all inquiries. Thank you for holiday decorating! Great open space w lots of windows w lake view. Kitchen conveniences and supplies galore for cooking for a crowd while they visit at the large dining table. Seats 10+. All you need to bring are your clothes & groceries. Plenty of toys, games, books and dvd for all ages. Comfy beds, loads of towels & linens. Baby equipment includes high chair, booster seat, pack&play, plenty of kid dinner ware. Washer & dryer too! 3 bedrooms sleeps 7. 4 more spots if you use sofa bed and air mattress. Plenty of parking. Loved the fireplace room. Will recommend to family and friends. Looks like a great summer rental too.

Great winter getaway
I took my granddaughters, age 8 and 11, to see snow for the first time. This was the PERFECT spot. Big back yard to play in, close to a grocery store and a number of recreation spots nearby. Ski resort less than 10 miles away and a perfect hill to sled on was nearby. Great view of the lake (frozen this time of year) and a perfect spot to watch the snow fall. The house was large and well stocked with all the comforts of home. (Had more kitchen gear than we have at home). Robert was great, he called the day before we arrived with a snow update and called to check on us the first evening. Could not have been a better stay and I know the girls will remember this trip for the rest of their lives.

Great getaway close to Ann Arbor and Brighton
This is a very well-maintained, elegant house on the water with a sweeping lawn. We were 2 kids and 2 adults. There was a lot for the kids to do. It would be great for 3 adult couples and could fit more fairly easily. My family had a really nice time. Our rental came with use of a pontoon boat which was a huge plus!

Great place for a family vacation!
This house was lovely. There were so many fun "extras." Everyone enjoyed pontoon boat rides, a few of us tried out the kayaks, and the kids loved the pedal carts. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities. The view from the deck was beautiful, and there was plenty of comfortable patio furniture. The owners were very available and responsive to any questions or concerns. The kids loved having so much space to run and play in the yard between the house and lake. The only thing I would change: add more hooks or bars for hanging towels in bathrooms and/or bedrooms. :)

The deck was wonderful and we had the best seats for travelers coming out/in of the river as well as sandhill cranes, geese, ducks, rabbits and birds of all kinds. My young grandchildren were able to catch all the bluegill they wanted right off the pier. They supply everything you might need other than food and clothes. We had horrible storms our last day, power was out all over and they made sure we were safe and had enough time to leave the next day, even though they were at a special family function. Wonderful owners!
