A great way to celebrate Christmas!
This is a lovely house and the caretakers were attentive but not intrusive. Everything was spotless and the house is in excellent condition. It's easy to get into town for shopping, yoga, and meals, or just walk down the road a bit to a relaxed restaurant and swimming area. We swam in several "cenotes" (new to me!) in the area, also. There's a ground floor bedroom if a guest needs accessibility, but several steps up to the front door. We are hoping to return in the coming years!

Fantastic vacation
My husband, our friends and I have been vacationing on the Yucatan for about 19 years now. We have stopped doing all-inclusive resorts in favor of renting villas. We love the privacy and relaxing atmosphere of having our own place on the beach. Casa Dena just topped the charts. The house was lovely, spacious and quite beautiful. Lots of space to either be together or separate when we wanted time apart. The ocean front, waking up to the waves, ocean smell and sounds truly made this the perfect get away. Daisy and Armando, the caretakers, we great and they were wonderful cooks as well. The whipped cream AND the cherry on top was Lassie, the resident dog. We are all pet owners and she was a joy. She greeted us first thing each morning, kept us company, took walks with us on the beach and then was an excellent guard dog. We knew she would be there so we brought her a tennis ball chucker and we all had a great time with her. The house is close to Tulum and we found our way back to several favorite restaurants from previous trips. Oscar and Lao's is just minutes south and on into Tulum on the beach is Zamas Restaurant. Both have fantastic food. Daisy cooked a number of meals for us and all were wonderful. Don't just stick to the suggested menu, give her free reign and she will put a delicious meal in front of you. We hope to go back next year and make this a frequent place to take our winter vacation.

We couldn’t have asked for more! Even better than the pictures!
We loved every minute of our week long stay at Casa Dena. We received excellent communication ahead of our trip which including detailed directions and information about the property. The views are amazing. Daisy and Armando are so kind and helpful and go above and beyond. They are amazing chefs and we recommend asking them to prepare several meals for you. Our group included 6 adults and 4 kids and we had ample room. The kids spent hours in the pool and in the hammocks. There was nice snorkeling we could walk to and and several cenotes in easy driving distance. Casa Dena is located an easy 10 minute drive to downtown Tulum but far enough for quiet and privacy for a relaxing vacation. It is like having your own private beach! Lassie the dog is very sweet and always there to welcome you when you arrive home. Casa Dena is comfortably furnished and our entire group slept very peacefully. We have been telling all of our friends about Casa Dena as a must stay if coming to this area.

Wonderful property!
7 members of our immediate and extended family stayed here for 7 nights. The accommodations were absolutely perfect. Our girls (6 and 3) spent about 45 minutes at least 3 times a day in the pool - starting at 7am! Daisy and Armando were very sweet and always willing to answer questions or help in any way. Read other reviews about the hospitality - all true! Ask them to make you Chicken Mole - and watch them do it! You will not be disappointed. Any complaints we had were NOT related to Casa Dena. Heed the warnings you find on Trip Advisor regarding Federalis, gas stations and rental cars and you will be totally prepared, as we were! The nearby Cenote was lovely and the food at Casa Cenote and Beso Tulum was excellent with excellent service. Don't miss a stroll down the beach to Chamico's for that authentic beach vibe and cuisine by the water. Get a massage under the palapa, and go see the ruins at Tulum - with a bathing suit so you can swim out in the water and get an unforgettable look back at the ruins. Thank you Casa Dena for making it all possible!

Fantastic Holiday
Case Dena is a beautiful, spacious well equipt house in a stunning location. The house keeper and caretaker make the holiday carefree, as they are so helpful and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them. The birds and wildlife on the beach are incredible, we are missing the skeins of pelicans flying over, now we are home. There is so much to do in the area including the ruins at Tulum and Coba nearby and Chichen Itza 2 hours away also the stunning wild Sian Ka'an. A fantastic memorable holiday!

Amazing home
The home was perfect for our large group. We also had Daisy and Armondo cook for us and it was terrific. The whole snapper was the best! Even my 2 year old ate almost a whole fish himself. We also walked to Chamico’s and it was great. We rented a car and drove to most places, but you can walk to Solomon Bay. I snorkeled in both bays and Cenote Manati. We saw Poncho, the crocodile, that lives there. There are a ton of fish in both bays and it’s really nice snorkeling. We ate at Casa Cenote across the steet from the cenote several times and it was always good. We celebrated a birthday at Blue Sky Hotel and Restaurant and it was unbelievable. All the food is so affordable and fresh. The views from the house are amazing, however we did not get into the ocean directly in front of the home, but it’s a short walk to Soliman bay as the home sits right on the point between the two bays. Overall, everything was perfect and super easy.
