Description
Two bedroom cottage located by beautiful Canyon Lake in Rapid City. Most attractions including Mt Rushmore are 30 minutes or less. The cottage has a full kitchen, bathroom and shower, cable TV, air conditioning, and comes with a gas grill and picnic table outdoors. All linens, bedding, and towels are provided. The kitchen is furnished for basic cooking and eating. Bring your bikes, walking shoes, or roller blades and enjoy the great paved bike trail that goes for miles along Rapid Creek. Trout fishing in both the Creek and the lake. Paddle boats are available for rent to mingle with the ducks and geese on the lake. Playgrounds for the kids and best of all, mosquitoes are not a problem. Bike rentals to enjoy the miles of paved bike paths around the lake and along the creek. Located right next door to Lake Park Campground and Cottages if you have additional family and friends that need accommodation.
Amenities: Kitchen has full size refrigerator and range/oven. Equipped with toaster and coffee maker. Microwave available upon request. Kitchen is equipped with six place settings and basic cooking utensils. Laundromat on site. Internet access, fax, and phone available at the office. Cable TV. Paddle boat rentals on the lake. Lake Park Campground and Cottages is a hidden gem!
Lake Park Campground and Cottages resort is in a quiet park-like setting next to beautiful Canyon Lake in Rapid City. The owners are warm and welcoming, and our cottage/cabin was sparkling clean and very comfortable. The beds (new pillow-top mattresses!) were heavenly with crisp sheets and warm comforters. We loved the gas fireplace in the living room and the lovely views. We cooked in the small kitchen, grilled on the almost new grill, and ate at the picnic table in front while enjoying the scenery. There are two resort/campgrounds right next to each other; make sure you reserve at Lake Park Campground and Cottages, you will be glad you did!

Great place for family vacation
We stayed here for a family vacation! Great for little kids, pack and play included. A great playground for them to play on and a quiet, relaxing environment. Lots to do within walking distance. Accommodating and friendly staff. We had so much fun and will definitely stay again if we head this way!

Great location for a Hills Vacation
We had a family reunion with 67 people for a week. We rented the reunion cabin at Canyon Lake Resort where part of our party stayed. Our cabin was within walking distance to the reunion cabin as well as all cabins our families stayed. It was perfect for us! Two bedrooms with a cozy living area. Beds ????? not bad either. It’s rustic yet comfortable! I would recommend this cabin for a stay! And it is a great location for day trips to all locations in the Black Hills!

This property exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect little family cabin! The location was convenient to all of the sights (Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Spearfish, Crazy Horse, & Hot Springs). The staff in the office was extremely helpful in explaining the area and providing a detailed map, along with info on the nearest grocery stores. We grilled out on the gas grill on our front patio, took a walk around the nearby lake, and ate breakfast at our private picnic table every morning. The property and our cabin, were very clean! This was so much better than staying at a hotel.

This place is fantastic.
Lake Park is a gorgeous area and the perfect location from which to head out in any direction for all the local sites. The staff are attentive and friendly, the property is clean, the cabins are perfect for two to four, and deer walk through frequently. Highly recommended.
