Description
UNBELIEVABLE PROPERTY AND BEST VALUE IN GEORGETOWN!
It's a Great House and Location in the East Village in Historic Georgetown!
It's centrally located and you can walk two blocks to over 100 restaurants and over 100 retail shops in Georgetown.
This Historic house was built in the 1700's and lived in by President Abraham Lincoln's granddaughter and actually used to smuggle slaves during the Civil War through a tunnel down to the Potomac River.
All the Smithsonian Museums, The US Capitol, The Lincoln Memorial, The Jefferson Memorial, The Washington Monument, The Kennedy Center and more are only 20 blocks away.
The White House is 13 blocks down the street.
There was a $1M renovation recently completely so the main house and a large addition are beautiful, sunny and spectacular!
The house has a combination of antiques and oriental carpets in the original house and the new addition and the rest of the house is all contemporary.
The Great Room and Kitchen are fabulous for anytime of day with a garden and fountain, outdoor space for grilling and dining, 250 gallon salt water fish tank , 65" big screen and much more!
There are two Master Bedroom Suites, one has a deck with great views and a steam room in the Master Bath Shower, the other has a sitting room and feels like you are up in the tree tops.
The other two bedrooms are beautiful and each have their own private baths.
The house faces south so its sunny with skylights and indoor and outdoor atriums.
A great place to stay in Washington!!

Nice place
We stayed at this house on N street for four nights in August. It's huge and in a great location. It's an unusual property and deceptively large. It served our needs well. It is an historic property in an historic neighbourhood. The house was renovated to a high standard not too long ago. There were a few relatively minor maintenance issues that need to be looked after but probably arise from the owners living somewhere else. The owner was very responsive and helpful and I suspect any issues will have been sorted before any other renters arrive.
