Walk to absolutely everything! Golf course, marina, ferry, galleries, restaurants, grocery, live music, bike, moped and kayak rentals, museum, beaches, and hiking trails. Charter a sunset sail.
The condo is only 1.5 blocks from the Ferry Landing and only 1/2 block from Lake Superior which can be seen from the large picture window in the living room. Being so close to the ferry landing means you don't have to bring your car over if you don't need to! You are surrounded by shops, galleries and restaurants allowing you to walk everywhere at you leisure! Mission Hill Coffee Shop is right below so you can meander down each day for a fresh pastry or sandwich to order.
The bedroom is on the back side of the building where the gentle breezes come across the quiet shaded veranda. It makes for a peaceful sleep after your daily (and nightly) fun. There is a window a.c. unit and ceiling fan in the living room and a window fan and ceiling fan in the bedroom.
Just bring your suitcase and toothbrush! All your bed linens, fluffy bath towels and beach towels are included along with cooking utensils, dishes and glassware. Basic kitchen items such as coffee filters, basic cooking spices, and products like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, waste bags are there for you.The AMENITIES section directly below gives detailed information about the condo.
Please note that the condo is located on the 2nd floor above retail businesses. There is a long set of stairs to reach the second floor. Also, please expect some traffic or human noise because of the 'downtown' location. It's not loud by any means - just a reminder that you will not be in the silence of the woods.
I have a strict NO PETS RULE as a courtesy to guests who have allergies. SMOKING is allowed OUTSIDE ONLY. There are conmfortable chairs provided for you on the veranda. Thank you for your thoughtfulness for others.

The Madeline Island Chamber of Commerce offers a wealth of information from ferry schedules to weekly events, things to do, business listings, and info on the Town Park and the State Park. You will be able to find out about walking tours, musical events, boat rental companies, etc.

BOOKING PROCEDURES: Please check the CALENDAR FOR AVAILABILITY. Your UPDATED QUOTE that is sent includes my nightly base rate PLUS MADATORY STATE AND LOCAL TAXES. Once you accept the quote sent to you, you will receive a notice for payment of deposit. Your 50% deposit will secure your reservation. You will receive a reminder email for your final payment about 3 weeks before your check-in date. Your balance is due prior to your arrival. Once I have received the balance I will email your CONFIRMATION LETTER that includes the address, directions from the ferry landing and the KEYLESS DOOR CODE along with parking information, some general information and the web link for the ferry schedule. CHECK YOUR 'JUNK MAIL' FOR EMAILS that might get sent there.

Perfect for Family
The property was in a great location for us! We arrived late at night and it was right off the ferry landing! Very easy to find! Linens and towels were all clean! The whole place was very clean! We loved staying here!

Delightful place!
The condo was perfectly located close to shops and cafes, exceptionally clean and well stocked, and easy to get in to! The bed was comfortable and the shower had lots of water pressure. We would most definitely stay here again! My only concern may be, should there be some sort of a lock from the inside similar to a hotel room lock? I’m sure there is little crime on the island but you can never be too safe! Thanks for a great stay!

In town get away!
We stayed right in La Pointe this time. The location was quiet and comfortable. It's spacious and was clean. If you want to enjoy the in-town vibe, this is a good location for it. They had a room fan that helped at night for the bedroom. There is one window air conditioner that cooled the main space well.

Awesome little town
This was our first time visiting La Pointe. Although the weather didn’t cooperate as much as we’d like, it was still a great stay. Spent time waking around town, trying the local restaurants, and hiking at Big Bay State Park. Everyone was very nice and we loved how dog-friendly the town is.

Another great year!! We will be back next year
This was my 3rd year on the island and 2nd year staying at the condo. It's the perfect place to say. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We will be back next year!!. It was also biker weekend so it was a bit loud, but everyone was really nice.

Perfect
Property was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Location was perfect right downtown. Bedroom is on back side of property so you don't hear the nightlife. Owner emailed me a lot of good information about the island and answered my questions in record time. I'm a bit of a clean freak and this place was perfect. I highly recommend.
