Description
Escape into the beautiful Telchac Puerto paradise.
This is a beautiful, one-story, ocean-front house built in a 2
acres of green coconut plantation.
Telchac Puerto is a beautiful an quiet fishermen's town. The
ocean view from every and each single room of the house are truly
phenomenal. The bedrooms are all spacious and tastefully decorated
with ornaments and shell frames. The house has back and front
terraces were you can hang up your hammocks and enjoy the sunsets
and the ocean view with the soft breeze of the sea.
The swimming pool is completely surounded by coconut trees, honey
and grape plants wich make it very private and relaxing.
The natural beauty is truly fantastic!!! It is the best of the best!
Our community has so many things to offer. We are beautifully
located --far enough out of the busy-ness of the city but close
enough to Mérida. (45 minutes distance from our home).
Come and enjoy the conveniences of this beach like the
atmosphere in our charming home in Telchac Puerto. It is a magical
experience!!

This was a perfect holiday rental for us. Location, location, location.
This quiet oceanfront property was the best place we've ever stayed at. This home, the location, the owners & the maintenance family all made this our best holiday we've ever had. Carlos & Ricardo built me a ramp to access the house just before we arrived for total mobility in my wheelchair which was perfect, I even made it to within 30' of the ocean. We stayed for 22 nights & to be honest I wish it was at least double. Writing this review is like a double edged sword. You want to be selfish & try to keep it quiet for your next holiday but Giselle & Carlos deserve some great feedback for this place. Two of the nicest people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting(almost everyone we met in Mexico were the greatest also that we've come across on my 5th trip here). Our 1st reaction to this home was WOW. Going through the home looking at all of the detail of the construction. Carlos brought in some great craftsmen & if I ever build a new home the layout of the house is what I'd try to copy. You drive down roughly 400' drive through 50 to 60 coconut trees where you can hardly hear the traffic, night time all you can hear are the waves hitting the beach. Telchac Puerto is a really quiet town, one suggestion I'd make is to take some Spanish lessons before arriving as we only came across 3 people in town who spoke English. I love this town so much I will be signing up soon, luckily my wife understands so we barely got by. To buy fresh caught fish go through town to the docks early in the morning then back to the market for your fresh fruit & veggies. We ate at 4 different restaurants in Telchac even had one delivery. We ordered fish in San Cristano which both towns are only a few minute drive came with 4 pieces. I don't think that we spent more than $12 pp including tip for most of these places. Progreso has anything you'll need & is only 20 minutes away. Lots of police spot checks so the driver needs to stay sober. Be watchful for scooters which ride next to the shoulder & there are lots of blind spots pulling out into traffic so be careful. Lots of speed bumps so prepare for some air if you're not paying attention. If you're looking for a little bit of paradise this is the place.

Best vacation ever
We loved the house and the location. Giselle and her husband greeted us the house upon our arrived, they showed us everything we needed to know to make our stay comfortable. We loved the location of the house, quiet beach with nobody around. We loved the porch where we sat and enjoyed our breakfast, the view was breathtaking. Market and local stores where couple of minutes away. All the people were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We would definitely recommend this house if you want to enjoy quiet and beautiful vacation this is the place.

Ideal place to get away from everything
We stayed from 21/12 until 30/12. Weather wise it was perfect, first half of stay was quite windy so perfect for myself, warm but not too hot. Second half was a lot warmer, 32 degrees, which brought with it humidity, but still comfortable. The town has quite a few restaurants of which we only visited 2 (not because we did not like them but our son is allergic to seafood, so didn't want to tempt fate) but both were simple fresh dishes, enjoyed by all. Progresso and Merida were both nice distractions in their own ways, and certainly worth a drive if you need a break. I cannot convey how nice the Yucatan people are, always smiling and pleasant. Back to the villa, whatever it may lack in mod cons for some people it more than made up for in its location, especially when you are swaying in a hammock listening to the waves, who cares. It is in the best position on the coast line as far as I'm concerned, whichever way you choose to walk - it only takes 35 minutes to walk to the pier and centre of town. Last but not least we were greeted upon arrival by Giselle and her husband who were just lovely and welcoming. I would have loved to meet them upon departure to thank them and give them a great big hug, for letting us have the opportunity to be able to stay for 9 nights in their paradise:)
