Description
The Lodge on Higgins Meadows is tucked away on 4 acres on the south side mountains which offers protection from the winds and panoramic views of the Black Hills. It features 4/5 bedrooms, 3 separate family/sitting rooms, a large rock fireplace, 3 decks, granite countertops, log accents throughout including a log catwalk, 'barnwood' tile in the bathrooms, a large 2 car garage downstairs, and a single car garage on the main floor off the kitchen. Located only minutes from downtown we are accessed off of Hillsview Road. Our country road winds its way 1 ½ miles West before turning South thru open vistas and meadows on its way to 1.2 million acres of Forest Service and recreational paradise. Crow Peak, a popular 3 mile hike is 2 miles up the road. Big Hill, a favorite of mountain biking enthusiasts is 5 miles up the road, and Iron Creek Lake (pictured) is 10 miles away. It offers swimming, paddleboats, hiking, and pretty good trout fishing. Lures and license can be purchased at the country store.
We are 1.5 miles off Hillsview Road. Our road is hard packed dirt - mag watered. The last picture shows the road. We are about 8 minutes to the freeway (exit 8) and 10 minutes from downtown Spearfish. Rates: $625 night. Rally: $825 a night. Cancellation: 2+ mo out: Full refund. <60 days.
