Description
The Couple's Cabin is a sweet log 'post & beam' construction in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Open all year long, this couple's hideaway is tucked in behind the main house with the front door opening onto US Forest Service land. Total privacy and beautiful scenery. Because of the large windows in the living room & kitchen area you will feel as if you were outside - even when you are inside. Deer on the hillside and in the backyard are a common sight.
This cabin was the 'home show display model' for a local log home builder thus everything is top of the line – cozy and comfortable. The large side-by-side refrigerator/freezer will accommodate food for as long as you choose to stay. You have a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots & pans, coffeemaker, microwave, crock-pot, toaster, blender, dishwasher & stove and a gas BBQ grill, small fire pit and table & chairs right outside your front door. The night sky is star studded and brilliant. Lovely!
All linens and towels are provided. Very Comfortable King size bed. The bathroom has a large shower with LOTS of hot water. This will be your retreat after a busy day of sightseeing in the hills. Ideal location just a mile from Hill City, SD – The Heart of the Hills – turn off of Hwy 16/385 onto Village Court into the Storm Mountain Cottages continue across Spring Creek to the private property behind. This is where you will find your Black Hills nest AND life is good!
During season the rate is $129.00 per night; stay six consecutive nights and the seventh night is FREE. Season is Memorial Day through September. A three night minimum stay is strongly encouraged. First two weeks in August 2018 the cabin is rented by the week only - in honor of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Winter Season rate is $99.00 per night. Fall & Spring Season $109.00 per night. We do charge a $60.00 cleaning fee per stay. You can be assured of a absolutely clean home when you arrive. Your reservation deposit is ½ of your stay with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. There is a required rental agreement with a security deposit of $500.00 secured with a major credit card. If cabin is left in the same condition as when you arrive, the damage deposit will not be charged . If warranted due to damage or extra cleaning an itemized statement will be mailed to you along with the credit card charge for the repairs.
Cancellation Policy: Re-scheduling your stay is always permissible without loss of deposit monies. Cancellations made 31 or more days prior to arrival will receive a full refund of the deposit. If cancelled within 30 days of arrival the initial deposit will be forfeited. Partial deposit may be refunded if the property is re-rented. There will be NO refunds for no-shows, late arrivals, or early departures.

Property was very clean. Close to what the Black Hills have to offer. Plenty of kitchen supplies, pots plates, etc. No bugs inside. Very nice outdoor cat on the property. Only problem we had, some of light switches a bit touchy.

Private, peaceful, relaxing
This is a great place! Everything seemed new and clean. We built a fire right outside our door. It's close to Custer State Park. Nobody or nothing bothered us. The Black Hills Sanctuary is very private, peaceful, and relaxing - a restorative place!
