Description
This 1 BR Condo is a lovely, private, even romantic, GARDEN VIEW CORNER UNIT, with a good partial OCEAN VIEW. Two walls of glass look out from the living room to private, tropical gardens and to the West a partial ocean view. Lanai's are on the West and North sides surrounding the unit. It is the only true 1 BR unit at Kona Shores (separate BR). The unit is also in the most PRIVATE AREA of the complex--the northwest corner of the facility--furthest from Alii Dr. and nearest the ocean. Kitchen and Bathroom have been completely REMODELED in 2015 and 2016. Wi-Fi is provided, and there are 2 wall air conditioners; one in living room near kitchen--the 2nd in the bedroom. The OCEAN-SIDE POOL is perhaps the best for size and View along Alii Drive.
Enjoy DINING at the corner of the west and north covered patios and watching green day geckos in the golden-fruited palms and plants very nearby. A little breeze keeps the 80 degree plus weather comfortable in the afternoons. Then take a dip down at the OCEAN-SIDE POOL that perches on a lava point, or walk to the sea on the concrete path along the pool to watch the sunset to the West or over Kailua pier at the other side of the Bay.
This condo features a new tile entry and new tile flooring in the SEPARATE ROOM KITCHEN and bathroom. Granite counter-tops surround all sinks and provide surfaces for all cabinets. The good quality wood cabinets are new in each of the rooms. In the kitchen there is a new large refrigerator, a newer gas stove, a microwave, coffee-maker and a complete complement of kitchen utensils, plates, etc. The kitchen window looks out on the end of the West Lanai.
The LIVING ROOM has two walls of glass (North and West) looking out at the private view of tropical gardens. On the North there is 6 ft. of Ginger and Palms, then 30 ft of sloping down landscaping of property next to ours. LR furniture includes a padded, rattan sofa and loveseat; a flat-screen TV, Cable TV, DVD, VCR, a closet, and shelves for books. Air conditioner, ceiling fan, and a floor fan (if needed) keep it cool in this comfortable unit. This 1st floor unit is cooler than roof-top 2nd floor units due to the extra 'insulation'.
The separate Bedroom has a Cal-King bed, a chest of drawers, an air conditioner, a ceiling fan, and a GLASS WALL AND PATIO DOOR looking out on the North tropical garden area. The large Bathroom is off of the BR. It has a sink area, a new shower/tub and double closets containing linens and supplies. Note: Secondary sleeping arrangements are unusual. There is a double futon-sofa, convertible to bed, on the very private north patio between LR and BR and two single air mattresses for placement in the LR (and inflation pump) if desired. some people bring the futon mattress into the living room at night--older children or adults may sleep outside on the patio. Also, there are two thick, single Coleman air mattresses in the BR closet along with a Coleman electric pump system. These can be used for sleeping in the living room at night and stood up against a wall (behind the sofa) during the day. All linens are provided.
Beach towels, mats, and ice chest are provided. The ASSIGNED parking spot is very nearby, about 6 feet below the unit where only 2 parking spots exist (the 2nd for our 2 BR 2 BA unit above). You'll have no searching for a parking spot. Laundry facilities are very nearby. This is a Non-Smoking unit and Pets are NOT allowed.
The Condo is at Kona Shores, which is 1 mile south of Kailua village (and immediately south of a larger complex, Sea Village) on the OCEAN-SIDE of Alii Drive. The address is 75-6008 Alii Dr., Kailua-Kona, HI 96740. We also have a spacious 2 BR 2 BA Condo on the same corner at Kona Shores (2 story facility); and a private Studio Condo () near this 1 BR unit in case you need more accommodations.

Cancellation Policy: Deposit will not be returned if cancellation is withing 60 days of arrival date. Rental payment will not be returned if cancellation is within 30 days of arrival date.

This was the most quiet and relaxing place.
During this trip we had spent some time in Honolulu and Hilo. Of all the places we stayed, this one was very clean and it had an ocean view which made staying there so relaxing that we really didn't venture out much. We would definitely stay here again!.

Great Condo!
We loved the condo, very roomy, good bed, great location. We enjoyed visiting different beaches and touring the area. The owners gave us good information for the area and for the island as to things to see, places to visit and spots to eat. We didn't care much for the pool because of the abrasive bottom in it. I lost some skin off one toe because of the bottom of the pool. The pool was okay, just don't try to stand up. We had a problem with the ceiling fans and Glen was very responsive in getting the problem fixed. We used the ice chests and some of the snorkeling supplies with the condo. Thanks for a nice visit. Our second item and we’d definitely stay again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, again! The place was so clean, quiet and all together enjoyable. Got to see a friendly gecko :). Just a thought, I’d love to have a mirror in the bedroom. I think when we were there back in 2016 there was a big mirrow above the low dresser but it’s not there anymore. It’s nice for doing hair and makeup when you can’t use the bathroom, but just a thought and something I’d want my guests to point out. We will be back!!

Incredible Stay!
This was by far my best experience in a VRBO property! Glenn and Ginny have literally thought of anything and everything you could possibly need...and more! The location is perfect, walking distance to the heart of the town. The patio is spacious and beautiful and the view is great! The bed was very comfortable and they even provided us with a playpen for our little one so we did not have to travel with one! There is a lot of space to unpack and make yourself at home for your stay. The bathroom has a nice little vanity area which I loved! The view from the pool is unreal, we saw a whale one day while we were swimming in the pool!! Amazing! And there was a great spot below the pool to watch the sunset in the evening. This is a 5+ star condo for sure! In dealing with Glen, Leaf and Bobbi, all were lovely and very hospitable! Thank you for a fantastic stay! :)

Just like home to us, wish it were our home!
Really enjoyed our second stay at this condo and plan to come back again. Very clean, nicely furnished with updated kitchen and bathroom, comfortable mattress, relaxed sleeping environment with the outdoor garden and bamboo wind chimes. Very well stocked kitchen. Lots of reference guides provided for anything you might want to do or know about the Big Island. Convenient to the laundry and assigned parking space. Most days we had our meals on the very private lanai surrounded by the tropical garden with a view of the ocean, with the birds and geckos providing entertainment. Topped off our days with a dip in the complex pool right on the ocean, then were able to watch the sun set right from the living room. Glen and Leaf were very accommodating in helping us to set up our trip and any later communications we had with them. We want to add that Bobbi was most pleasant and very helpful any time we had questions or needed help with anything. The only negative thing we can say about the unit is that we can't live there permanently!!!!

Convenient, comfortable, cozy
We enjoyed an easy week at this centrally located Kona Shores location. The enclosed garden is a favorite for songbirds which chattered as we drank morning coffee on the patio. The unit has a spacious feel - its corner location looks out, between buildings, to the ocean and above the cars in the lot which are hidden from view by the garden shrubs. All the comforts of home are in the unit. The location has ocean access and a short walk to town or to beaches. It was a perfect hideaway for the two of us.

Convenience in Kona
Had a great time on the Big Island this past week! G&G's condo was the perfect start. Great place and a beautiful setting. Windows on two wall of the living room that open on to a private, lush lanai with geckos that stop by for feeding every morning (just put out some fruit - they'll be there)! Convenience is the word too. The parking spot is right next to the condo - you can look out the window and see your car right there just steps from the door. The laundry facility is conveniently located right across the hall - thought that might be a source of noise but I was totally wrong. Convenient location is very close to all the local fare but not close enough to be inundated by the crowds that are attracted to all the shopping and dining establishments along Ali'i Dr. Nice view out to the ocean as well! 5 out of 5 stars!
