Coastal Cottage in the heart of downtown Cedar Key! This historic home has graced 1st Street for 90 years. A classic Cracker home, there are two immaculate, beautifully decorated bedrooms (one queen, one full) and one full bath. HGTV's Coastal Collection Paint highlights the vaulted ceiling, wainscoting and original doors. Quality furniture, TVs, and mattresses/linens. The breezy wraparound front porch with locally made porch swing and adirondack chairs makes an ideal spot for people watching, reading, sipping tea, or just relaxing.
The Ida Belle Cottage was once home to Mrs. Ida Belle Davis, who raised her family here. Though Mrs. Ida Belle is no longer with us, her family continues to live and work in Cedar Key. When you enter the house, don't forget to look on the wall just to your left, a little tribute to the cottage's namesake is there for your enjoyment. A true Southern woman, she would want you to stay and be comfortable. Most of all, she would want you to see Cedar Key the way she did--from the little cottage on 1st Street.

The Ida Belle Cottage is in a great location, and is the perfect size for 4 adults. Everything was very clean and the house has amazing natural lighting. Definitely within walking distance to the local restaurants and stores! We definitely hope to stay here again in the future!!
The property had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and they have a big deck that is perfect for morning coffee! Walking distance to everything..but we chose to rent a golf cart to make it more fun!
Great location, cute little property!
Couldn't ask for a better location. Close to everything you could need or want. Cedar Key is a beautiful little island and this cottage made exploring it very easy and comfortable. Two very minor issues....the smoke detector kept going off when we tried cooking. A small table-top fan in the kitchen would have fixed that issue. Lastly, the kitchen table is kinda fragile. My husband (he's average size) had to sit down gingerly so as not to break the chairs. Table top wobbles too. A few screws would help, but truthfully, it should be replaced. Minor issues in an otherwise perfect cottage.
Cedar Key is a great spot for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage for 2 nights with our daughters (11/12.) Walking 2 minutes toward the gulf and you're at the pier with food and shops. Walking 2 minutes toward town and you're at convenient stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. It really is a wonderful spot. We didn't have fishing equipment or boat but we enjoyed a quick trip to Fanning Springs to enjoy a day in the crystal clear waters.
We stayed with our two children for two nights and loved this cottage. It is very spacious and welcoming. The beds are comfortable! The location is ideal. The street is quiet, yet you can walk to all the shops and the waterfront. We were there on the Tuesday after July 4th, so the island was not busy and not everything was open, but that was fine with us because it was peaceful. You will love the porch swing. We went to Tony's for the famous clam chowder, which did not disappoint! Check out Cedar Key Canvas for some cute canvas bags made right there in the shop. We would love to return to Cedar Key and to this adorable cottage.
Ida Belle Cottage is so comfortable. It is clean, has a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. The towels are thick and fluffy. It's located close to great restaurants, cute shops, and places to launch kayaks. The WiFi is fast. This is the third year we have stayed there and hope to return next year.
