Villaggio Bergamotto is a beautiful walled and gated complex in Gioiosa Ionica, with a 200 m² communal pool and surrounded by orange groves. This is a first floor, 2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 5) There is a king sized bed in the main bedroom, twin beds in the second bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment benefits from a brand new, modern fitted kitchen with a gas hob and an electric oven. The lounge/dining room has a flat screen TV, (DVD, CD player) on request) double doors lead from the lounge onto a balcony with patio furniture. There are also 3 other balconies accessed from the bedrooms, all with lovely views. The bathroom is modern with the added advantage of having a bath and overhead shower. The apartment is fully equipped with A/C and has all your needs for a relaxing holiday.
Our property manager will meet you on arrival and give you all the information that you need for an enjoyable stay. All towels and bedlinen are included free

Located in Gioiosa Ionica, Calabria in the South of Italy. This is a small town just 5 min drive from the beautiful, unspoilt Ionian Coast with it's white sands and blue sea. It's also within 15 min of the spectacular Sila mountains that are home to traditional, Italian villages like Gerace with its cobbled streets and medieval churches. Within 30 min drive you are able to access the rugged Tyrrhenian coast with a number of beautiful resorts including Tropea, with its award winning beach and annual Jazz festival. If you wanted to visit the island of Sicily this is easily accessible on one of the many short ferry rides, within an hour's drive from Gioiosa Ionica. Several golf courses are within a short drive. Lamezia airport is 1 h away, with Monarch scheduling direct flights from the UK and Stansted flying direct from the UK with RyanAir and most European countries. There are also flights from the US and Canada.

Fantastic property and village
Had a wonderful stay in amazing apartment beautifully maintained complex . The village and surrounding areas were lovely to explore and the traditional village life made you realise how laid back life can be - would definitely go back . Found some lovely places to eat and the language barrier was never a problem.

Wonderful accommodations
We are a senior citizen couple from USA. We have travelled Italy in the summer for the past 3 years. Often we use vrbo.com and most of the time we are satisfied with our rental. Lou's rental this year was outstanding. Everything listed in his vrbo# was there just as described. The area and his accommodations were beyond our expectations. Complex safe and friendly. Trip to the beach wonderful. Sammantha the property manager was a jewel in helping us. No matter the question, our how many questions from us. Fantastic holiday
Great apartment. Clean with all essentials including wifi. Not far from the local town - chocolate croissants a must! Beautiful beach close by. The locals are friendly and helpful-a real village atmosphere .....we even drank fresh water from the mountain spring. If you want a totally relaxing holiday in an unspoilt beautiful part of Italy this is the place. We shall be returning.
