Romantic ground floor apartment with pool with stunning views
This apartment is part of Villa Collecimino - a spacious, self-catering, detached property with plunge pool, located in 3.5 acres of orchards, olive groves and agricultural land on top of a hill 550 metres above sea-level, with stunning panoramic views of the Appennine mountains on one side and the Adriatic sea on the other. The apartment has a private outside area where you can dine, sunbathe or just enjoy the beautiful views of Abruzzo. It is just 40 minutes from Pescara airport, 30 minutes from the beaches and 40 minutes from the mountains. This self-contained apartment is on the ground floor of the villa with its own private entrance. There is one bedroom with a Queen size bed and in the open plan living room there are two comfortable sofa beds. There is a private outside area where guests can dine/sunbathe and enjoy the mountain views. Guests are also welcome to make use of the gardens and grounds surrounding the property. We have a Scandinavian Plunge Pool (6x4m) and a BBQ which is shared with guests in one other apartment.
Villa Collecimino: Ideal for rest and relaxation, Villa Collecimino is located in 3.5 acres of orchards, olive groves and agricultural land. It is situated 550 metres above sea-level in a small hamlet which has regular visits from a mobile baker, butcher, and fishmonger. There is a large supermarket and a range of shops just a 10 minute drive away in Cesi. 15 minute drive from the historic medieval towns of Penne and Castiglione MR. There are many wonderful places to eat locally - 5 minutes' walk from an 'agriturismo' offering delicious meals from home-grown produce, and a short drive from many other restaurants as well as the best seafood restaurant we have ever visited.

An oasis of tranquillity and lovely nature
We stayed a full week in the ground floor apartment and we really enjoyed it. The view is breathtaking both in the morning, when having breakfast and in the night when we indulged stargazing the Abruzzo’s sky with the family. The apartment has got all the comforts you need, from the microwave, to the washing machine, should you really feel that irresistible need to do some laundry even on holiday. We enjoyed the plunge pool with a unique view of the Gran Sasso d’Italia. Not to be forgotten are all the instructions and suggestions about the surroundings, organised in a “professional handbook” handwritten by Annie and Marek: it was very useful! There are also few remarkable places where you can go for dinner starting from the Agriturismo San Giorgio, 5 minutes away from the property on foot. Annie, Marek, really thank you for hosting us at your place, for being so helpful with all your suggestions, for having looked after the house and its garden in a spotless way, and for having contributed to make our vacation a very special one! Fantastic, central location for seeing Abruzzo. Sunsets and sunrises are amazing. Lovely apartment with all you need. Warm and cosy and a warm welcome from Merak and Annie. The neighbours are very friendly and welcoming. We will be back for a top up of Abruzzo and the views. If you like painting, walking, photography or just sitting with a glass of wine and relaxing this is a great place to be! Thank you for sharing this place with us.
