Excellent place but host needs a better communication system
We were very happy with this little apartment. It was clean, well stocked with everything we needed and in a very beautiful location close to the water. We BBQed on the patio one evening and it was very peaceful. I'd definitely recommend the place to others. My only complaint was on the communication side. We tried to contact the hosts for almost two hours to check in and got no response. We could tell there was a lockbox with a key but nobody had given us the code. Finally after several attempts calling, emailing and texting, we got a response back giving us the lockbox password. It delayed some of our plans for Twillingate that evening. The other communication issue was about the check out time. The maid showed up at 10AM and told us we had to be out of there when the listing shows a 11AM check out. We were not ready to go yet and had to rush to get everything packed up and vacate. That wasn't a pleasant end to our stay. I'd recommend emailing guests a house guide after booking that allows them to check in at their leisure with the lockbox code and be clear about other house rules such as the check out time.
